If you want realism, this is a good movie to watch. The acting is superb. The plot for the most part is very believable. That being said the end was a little disappointing because it is hard to believe two men who have managed to live thus far would ride into a trap like they did. That is my only complaint though. The movie has a feel of anxiety and gloom for the most part. Everything is headed for the ending that ultimately happens.

the revenent is a extremily good movie Leonardo decaprio is fantastic in his role as hugh glass the story is spellbinding it keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to see if he will make it back and get to kill the man who killed his son it is awsome

This movie is visually beautiful and has a great story to go along with it. It has some of the most realistic action scenes I have seen in a long time. Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy are fantastic in this movie and if you are a fan of both this is a must have.

Got this movie on Black Friday. And the hype of this being the best looking 4K movie and the standard of 4K is true. This definitely the best looking 4K movie I’ve ever seen. Definitely a must have to show off what 4K content is suppose to look like.

I had this on bluray and it looked good. So when I got my Xbox One S, I had to get a 4K copy. It looks even better. It looks just like real life. AMAZING! The movie plot is awesome. How they only used nature lighting is crazy. I could watch it over and over again.

This is a bracing look at what it takes to survive before any modern comfort. The performances particularly Dicaprio and Tom Hardy are excellent the world feels as cold as it looks and you're left to question how far you would actually make it.

I love this movie because it is a true story and a great one. The lengths Leonardo DiCaprio went to were amazing because of his dedication. Tom Hardy also played a great role in this movie with his character and it is overall an amazing movie and one of my favorites

Sure, DiCaprio won the Best Actor Oscar for this, but the true star of the movie is the photography. Inarritu and DP Emmanuel Lubezki took my breath away with their beautiful shots of the stark frontier wilderness. Tom Hardy turns in a great performance as well.

The background of each shot tells the whole story. Beautiful yet merciless. Hard and unforgiving but there are brighter colors as well. No CGI was needed to improve on the natural splendor. A tale of revenge and betrayal that deserves a 4k viewing.

The film is great - we all know that. The 4K presentation is truly spectacular, with HDR enhancing the natural light that director Iñárritu chose to film in. Highly recommended if you have a 4K player. Our LG OLED E65 further enhances the film's visuals.

This movie starts with drama and keeps you in suspense all through the movie. Can't believe it is based on true facts. Can't believe I would have survived what main character went through. A must see movie. Deserved all the awards and accolades that it got.

If you are in any way into film, this movie is amazing. The way that they used light, and camera angles, and everything else is just technically wonderful. The story is engaging and keeps you on the edge of your seat at times. I highly recommend this movie.

Purchased "The Revenant" to watch on our new 4K TV and was also recommended by our Son. Great film with amazing story line and scenery. Highly recommend.

Excellent movie, script and story starring Leo DiCaprio. There are some very gory and violent scenes so consider yourself warned. One of my favorite movies of the year. Quality on Blu-ray disc is so much better in my opinion as opposed to standard DVD. Must see...

One of the best movies ever filmed. Filmed in the middle of winter in Canada you feel cold just watching the movie. Leonardo DiCaprio won an Oscar for best actor and it was well deserved. The movie also won Oscars for best director and best cinematography.

The HDR for this movie is top shelf. Especially the first 30 minutes or so. The movie gets a little boring in the middle and part of the last half. You can only watch crawling around in the snow and mud with interest for so long then you are tempted to hit FF!

I saw this movie in theatre and was amazed by it scenery, acting, cinematography, and scope. I had to own it and despite its spare special features had no problem with laying my money down for it. The movie is beautiful and certainly earned the Oscars it won.

This movie is a true epic pitting man against nature. Filmed in the Canadian Rockies, it is truly breathtaking, awe-inspiring, and BRUTAL on 4k. If you love and respect the outdoors, this is the holy grail for you. Decaprio is great and so is Hardy.

Director Alejandro G. Iñárritu is a our modern master filmmaker. The documentary 'A World Unseen' that is included with this, is as engrossing as the movie. This is in your face realism...you feel the cold, the blood, the wounds and every emotion that comes along.

The Revenant was one of the best films of the year and deserves to become a classic. Excellent acting throughout the cast, spectacular photography and a gripping scenario make this film one to remember. The boundaries of moviemaking are advanced by The Revenant.
