The overall plot is basic and there is a need to suspend your disbelief, but this is such a gorgeous movie it all makes it worthwhile. IMO Tom Hardy did a fantastic job as the villain and definitely added to the overall experience of the film.

This is an amazing movie, not only story-wise but the cinematography and the music are the two most appealing selling points, absolutely fantastic!

I wasnt sure what I would think of this film when it first came out but I thought it had great potential. I saw it opening night and was not disapointed. The story is not poetry but the film and camera work is and that makes up for any flaws.

Fans of leonardo diCaprio will greatly enjoy leos performance in this wilderness adventure.The real star of this movie is the incredible scenery throughout this movie set in 1823.Look for this movie to win for its great cinematography.

Great purchase for a movie that will become a classic in years to come. Blu ray offers a crisp view of an excellent movie and the special features are loaded with informative content. I still can't figure out how the bear scene was made

This is an excellent and long movie. Beautiful scenery as well. Story is one of the best. If you haven't seen this you need to. Buy this movie, DiCaprio at his best. Great acting , one of this years best movies. One for the collection.

Great movie, great collection of actors, and the director Iñaritu always making the best films. I recommend this title. The Audio mix sounds amazing even though I have a soundbar it sounds like I have dolby atmos.

No wonder the actor won an academy award; after watching this in 4K you feel like you have been there and that you have suffered along with him. A great experience to watch from a safe distance! Theydon't make them any better than this!

Such a great looking movie and intense film as well. The best scene is the bear attack, but every thing else following is fantastic and all of the cast does an exceptional job.

Blu ray movies are always the way to go they're more robust than dvds and the quality is just better all around I definitely recommend this movie as well! It's An amazing one! The cinematography especially is interesting and great!

Now this movie was so good I had to have it for my collection and it’s even better in 4K. It was great to see Leonardo he his first Oscar for this movie.

Leonardo DiCaprio is absolutely worth his Oscar award in his portrayal for this film, as well as Tom Hardy against him in every way. The action shots, backdrop scenes, and top notch story should make this well worthy of a ten star rating!

I loved every moment of this movie, kept me on the edge of my seat. The way this movie was shot was amazing... Leonardo's performance was at its best I really recommend this movie. Certainly one of my favorites in my movie collection.....

My new favorite movie, can't stop watching it. The quality of the 4k is amazing, watched in regular 4k and then turned on the soap opera effect in TV to watch it that way.

This Blu Ray is excellent quality for the price I paid. It's very interesting to see the cinematography. I know all the actors did a great job. This is what you get when you have a ton of good acting in a movie. Bear scene is wild.

This movie is one of the best movies I have watched this year. Great performances by both DiCaprio and Hardy. Even the bear was convincing lol. The movie featured some of the best nature landscape shots. I really enjoyed this movie.

Despite the whole Oscars debacle the year this movie came out, this is one of Leo Dicaprio's great films. Starts off a bit slow, but the intense drama, action & suspense keeps this movie amazing all throughout. Definitely worth watching

Movie making at its finest. Leonardo does not disappoint. Even if you are not a DiCaprio fan you just might become one. I had high expectations for this movie and they were exceeded! Get it, keep it- a classic to add to your library.
