movie was great on 4k blu-ray but boring overall :

This movie was a disappointment. It just plodded along. I waited a long time for DiCaprio to finally meet up with Hardy, and then it was over. It was a commercial for the Sierra Club with all the visual eye candy of the scenery, but that was it. boring

Naught it because it because it’s one of De Caprio’s movie. But after watching the trailer on you tube, did not like it. Returned to Best Buy as in opened item. I must say it was no hazzel return because of Best Buy customer service.

Well cast ... well acted ... weak script not strengthened by elements of Gladiator, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Somewhere in Time and Titanic. DiCaprio is deserving of an Oscar ... but ... no more so than an unrecognizable Hardy.

This title did not live up to the glowing reviews, slow action they could have left out Leo DiCaprio because all he did was lay there ,anyone could have played the roll. I fell asleep half way thru.

I realize it's a long time coming, but this movie did not deserve an Oscar! Leo did a great job, but this film while trying to stick to the true story had no substance what so ever. The lack of a plot left me amiss!

Heard about this movie through the media - expected a high quality movie. Purchased the 4K version. Visual and audio were good. Movie has a disappointing plot. Expected to be more historical perhaps.

I guess it's okay if you wanna watch a couple hours of really brown teeth, all men that never bathe, and lots and lots of blood and infections and sadness and death and did I mention the filth and gore?

The gore and the violence are over the top. While the argument could be made that some scenes could be realistic, some things are best left to the imagination. I will not watch this again.
