This is a very good frontier type western. It has a violent bear encounter. It's a very gritty movie. I liked it.It has an Academy Award performance by Leonardo DiCaprio. It also stars Tom Hardy, a very versatile actor whom I love to watch.

Although this movie is based on facts, they have been altered. Setting that aside, it is a grueling, captivating and well made movie. The cast is wonderful, directing is great, cinematography is terrific. A little too long, but a good watch.

The special effects in this movie are so unbelievable. And the actual hardships endured by the crew to insure the realism is remarkable.

Leonardo DiCaprio gives a great overall performance in this movie. The cinematography is spectacular and the story is interesting all the way through, but the first person vantage point in some scenes can be distracting or disorienting at times.

This movie is fantastic! I love how realistic the bear fight scene is. Leo is amazing.

I thought the acting was excellent but the period-correct dialect a bit hard to understand at times. Great photography and very interesting that the story line followed a true story. I believe the movie would have benefited from 20 minutes cut.

The visuals are stunning on the OLED tv and the background Atmos noises makes it feel like you’re outside with them

Bought this movie to test the 4K legs of my new Sony x900 75” TV. Movie was a bit too long but overall very impressed with the 4K transfer and showing off your new 4K.

I had seen this before and was amazed at the bear scene. Very intense and great acting by Vincent DiCaprio and Tom Hardy.

If you are a fan of "The Revenant" the 4k presentation is the optimal way to experience this film at home. Simply reference quality.

All my friends talked about how great this movie was. Although a bit slow at times, I enjoyed the plot, visuals, and action scenes.
