If you're into musicals and great acting, this is for you

Didn't like this movie at all not really something I am into

Okay, for the average individual....run away now. For any Rocky Horror fan, this 35th Anniversary edition is a MUST HAVE. The extras on the Blu-ray are worth the purchase price. Not to mention the quality of the picture. There are slight differences in this version as compared to your local midnight movie theater version. For example..."There's A Light" is sung slightly different. The passive fan will not notice, but when singing along (as I have for 25 years) you notice the difference. The addition of deleted musical numbers, outtakes, and "Rocky-oke" are wonderful. This is not just another copy of the same old film with 35 on the cover. This is the best version of the film that I have seen to date. Run, don't walk, and get this movie now!

This is by far my favorite movie. If you are in a local area, you need to go to a showing, and learn the scripts! It is a wonderful all around cult classic. Must be weird and goofy to enjoy. And if you don't dance everytime someone says "It's just a jump to the left," you are NOT a true fan.

Still as good as it was when viewed at midnight showing in college back in 1981. The Blu-ray version was a nice upgrade (have previous DVD version). The video (1.66:1 aspect ratio) is excellent, and although not reference quality and there is some grain, couldn't expect a much better transfer. The audio is a surprising 7.1 MA treatment, and the mix is amazing. The HD extras are also excellent, and plenty to keep you busy for a while.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is one of the best movies I've ever seen. I don't tend to like musicals, but this movie is awesome. It's a fun movie, and this DVD is worth it. The downside to this disc in particular is that it doesn't have many features. All the features are just things that are during the movie. It's still a fantastic movie, though.

To this day, still the best cult classic of them all. I've watched this film hundreds of times through the years and it's doubtful I'll never grow tired of it. 45 years old and still growing strong.

The 40th anniversary edition Blu-ray of The Rocky Horror Picture Show is out, and if you already have the 35th anniversary Blu-ray and are thinking on ordering this in hope of getting any new material, step away from your browser right now. This new Blu-ray is a re-issue of the 35th anniversary Blu-ray and offers nothing new, so if you were hoping they corrected the U.S. version of the film, you're out of luck there. But other than a messed up sound mix in some parts of the film (Over at the Frankenstein Place is the one that is most notable), the Blu-ray is great.

This is fan favorite it is Amazing, yes the story line is odd but that is part of the fun. I love it so much that I go to screenings every year dressed as either Eddie, Prof. Scott, Brad, Rif Raf, or Frank. This is the 40th anniversary so I'm buying it. Lets do the Time-warp again

My fiancee and I were making plans for Valentine's Day and I suggested seeing the interactive Rocky Horror Show at the theater. When he told me he never saw it before, we went to Best Buy immediately. Just a fun movie that only gets better with time. Especially when you have the chance to share it with those who haven't seen it.

This film isn't for everyone. It has attained cult status amongst its followers. I always stop by the dvd sale bin for I always find a great movie for a low price. This one is no exception. If you like a movie that is different, you'll be happy to pick this one up to add to your collection.

If you're over 30 you'll love reliving these times. Frank, Brad, Janet, Raff and of course Rocky. The "prompting" is really fun and we all know all the songs by heart. Do youself a favor and buy this classic so you can go back in time whenever you want.

It's different, and it's not for everyone. The soundtrack is catchy, the characters are unique, and I adore Tim Curry's performance. You should watch it at least once to see what the hype is about.

Whether you're a fan of RHPS already, or you're planning to watch it for the first time, this is the one to get! This special anniversary edition Blu-Ray has the best picture and sound available, plus some great special features that are a lot of fun!

This show brings back memories of being in High school and going t the midnight shows. It's just a jump to the left...

Well of course this is my favorite cult movie of all time! I have watched it over 19 times since discovering it in its second release. The rest is history!!

I would tell anyone who loves to dance crazy and loves musicals and loves cult classics I would suggest this movie its an wild and crazy show

Some have called this the "King of Cult Movies." This film is fun, but only if you attend an actual screening with an audience, who react to this film, its songs, & its characters as if they were cheering on their favorite sports team. If you simply watch the DVD at home, you'll quickly find out how stupid this film is. A couple (Barry Bostwick & Susan Sarandon) walks to a nearby castle after their car breaks down one stormy night. Before they can get to a phone, they encounter the castle's bizarre inhabitants who hail from the planet (not the European land) Transylvania, including the head of the household Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), who's a cross between Dr. Frankenstein & Beetlejuice-& bisexual to boot. My favorite song number here is "Time Warp," but this film, perhaps more than any other ever made, requires viewing with an actual audience in order to attain any enjoyment of it.

Ended up watching it the same day I bought it. I'm glad I finally got around to watching it. It really is a classic!
