I watched this as a young child and this movie is still good even now

My 7 year old is in baseball now, and I wanted to introduce him to baseball movies - this being the most obvious choice, I thought. He loved it, and hopefully he didn't pick up on the curse words ("c**p" = few times and "s**t" is said once or twice). *SPOILER ALERT* There's also a scene where a kid fakes drowning so that the pool lifeguard that he has a crush on will give him CPR, and then he grabs her head and forces her to kiss him. At which she then calls him a "little pervert." It's a decent baseball movie for kids - probably the best out there (sans Bad New Bears, but that's DEFINATELY not for kids, IMO), but just be warned of the above for the little ones.

This is a great family movie. Unlike most kid-appropriate movies, this one has plenty of appeal for adults as well. The only disc extra is a making of featurette, which is very short.

The cards that come with this package are just one more thing to store. Overall, this edition is good. The DVD has both full screen and widescreen formats.
