It's always nice to see comedic actors take on non-comedic roles. Ben Stiller is comical, adventurous, and quiet in this great movie that starts off slow and slowly builds into a good movie. Highly recommended.

It is a story about a guy living a normal, boring life, who daydreams about having amazing adventures who finally goes on an adventure of his own. This movie has a lot of humor, some beautiful scenery, and an uplifting message.

Ever since I saw this movie I have been wanting to either see it again or buy it. It's funny, it's clean. I can be pretty picky when it comes to movies, I have nothing bad at all to say about this one. It's just a good movie :D

Nice Movie, my 12 year old son loved it enough the first time he watched it to want to buy it. The story line is fun and there is enough action to keep you engaged, worth a watch and for $5-$10 worth buying.

I have started to watch different types of movies for the actors performance and how they change it up from film to film. And this one is different from Ben Stillers usuals. But all in all, I think it was a great performance.

Ben Stiller is brilliant and has never been better! This take from the book is not exact, but it grabs the essence of the truth behind understanding reality and dreams. Sometimes you have to chase a dream to become real and to be appreciated.

def recommend this cause it is a really well thought out and visual movie that i really enjoyed. even more amazing that ben stiller himself directed it and a nice cameo by sean penn was really nice surprise to see.

after missing this in the theater and with three of us in the family the cost was same as if we went so we got this. Ben Stiller does an OK job taking Danny Kaye's place, but the plot was so so. Not his best but not his worst.

This movie is a breath of fresh air. When it seems most movies are the same recycled story. Here is an original tale of a mans rise out of the normal everyday comfort zones. Go on an adventure with Walter. You won't be disappointed.

Terrific movie from start to finish. Great purchase n highly recommended. If you buy a new tv from best buy make sure to buy this movie with it. The colors in the film were truly amazing! Great cast and a well thought-out film.

Great visuals from around the world. Believable characters from remote parts of the world. Good character development. My wife and I saw it in the theater and could not wait for it to come out on DVD so we can own it and watch it whenever we want.

Good thing in movies the 'hero' has unlimited funds, in real life someone who has lost his job and is supporting his mother couldn't travel the world. However, it is entertainment even if believability is a stretch.

I love this movie! I remember reading this story in high school, and watching it was just a trip down Memory Lane. I can't wait to let my old high school classmates watch this! They will want to run to BestBuy and get it for themselves!

The ending is what makes this movie incredibly special. Seeing it through our cable provider "on demand" encouraged us to purchase it for our media library. The cinematic scope of the movie also encouraged us to purchase it in blu-ray.

I found this movie funny and inspiring. It has some excellent cinematography and verve! I loved the original with Danny Kaye! And feel that this is definitely a contemporary take on the same idea. Loved it! Scene with Sean Penn is exceptional.

This is good movie for the whole about life and the struggles and tribulations that we all face and how sometimes the answers we are looking for most of are right in front of us the whole time.

I heard a lot of mixed reviews from friends and acquaintances about this movie, but I and my wife found it full of humor and meaning. Wonderful message about not being afraid to live life and be yourself! Very funny and touching!

My wife and I first watch this movie in the theaters. After being taken aback by the amount of beautiful scenery in this movie, and the uplifting storie line, we had to own it. We will be watching again for the third time soon.

At first glance, this movie seems ordinary. However, the transformation of the character and the the awesome soundtrack never fails to affect me in a good way. Ben Stiller is very good in this one. Give it a try.
