Really cool movie great new take on an old classic

This movie is at best a weak effort to revive the Great White Shark suspense movie of the past . It did have a more believable story line of a fearless predator of the deep protecting it's feeding ground .

When a tourist surfer invades a shark's feeding grounds she becomes the hunted. This is a fresh take on the Jaws type movie pitting shark against human. It's a good movie to pass the time.

Better then I thought it would be to only cast about 6 people in the whole movie keeps you on your toes wondering what will happen next and dosent even have a big story but still good

For a movie that's pretty much just a girl trying to survive a shark attack...it's decent. I went in with low expectations and they came out slightly higher. Plus, Lively is easy to look at.

Although not as engaging and amazing like Jaws, The Shallows does have its fun moments of scares. It gets a little ridiculous towards the end but it's a fun popcorn horror movie non the less

Film had a better than average Rotten Tomatoes score. It's not better than average. The shark scenes are well done but Blake Lively is much of an actor and brings the film down.

I had higher expectations for this film. What starts with a decent story turns into complete silliness. The picture quality is top notch, so it's worth a watch.

This movie pits a young woman's desire to live against a shark's desire to eat. Both characters are doing what they need to do to survive. Overall, entertaining.

Bought during black friday. So the price was great, but wouldnt pay full price for the movie. The movie is excellent. but the ending was plain stupid.

Ok so stuck in the water, and an exit strategy is needed has been done before. It was a great Saturday afternoon on the couch movie. Rewatch value is low.

this is a movie of survival beyond all odds. after jaws from years ago i thought this movie might be a let down but it surprised me. worth watching .

This movie is GOOD and will have you on the edge of you seat. However, this movie is not for the faint due to its grafic nature.

Bought this movie to test out my lg 4k Hdr oled tv visuals are stunning but the movie itself is pretty generic for a shark themed movie.

It was good but I'd say it wasn't the best one I've seen in awhile. I'd watch it again but it be some time in between when I see it next

Great performance from Blake Lively. I think the film slightly under delivers in the end, but it’s still a good watch.
