I saw “The Shallows” in theater and honestly it’s just as great at home! I didn’t really think that this would be a great movie to watch on 4K but it was! The lush greens of the jungle to the magnificent blues of the sea and sky. Oh, wait for the jellyfish scene!!

This movie was REALLY good, start to finish!! Very suspenseful, I could see where this movie could definitely scare some viewers!! I highly recommend this movie if you're a fan of JAWS or really any shark movie or just an out RIGHT fan of sharks!! Definitely worth seeing!!!!

I was really surprised by this movie. Not an A list actress IMO but the story in all it's simplicity was very entertaining. Saw this the first time in regular HD and it had me hooked, from beginning to end! Now watch in in 4K and the beautiful beach really comes to life.

Colors were so vibrant, clarity was spectacular, aside from the film being fantastic, I don't know what else to say! Worth it! For those curious, it's like JAWS meets The Beach. Edge of your seat thriller with one of the best HDR color pallets out. Really makes your 4K TV pop!

This movie reminded me of jaws but with a narrow focus on one person. This allowed the emotion to increase with intensity and helped to identify with the situation. Photography was beautiful and the action was easy to follow. Over all very enjoyable summer night at the movies.

I have to be honest here. I LOVE shark movies. I watch them all, good ones, bad ones, Sharknados. I can’t get enough. Most are not going to be high drama. This movie however is tense and the acting is top notch. IMHO almost a Jaws level. Great movie!

There is a lot more to this than a woman and a fish. This is basically a closed loop that is about how to get out of it...Nancy (Blake Lively) needs to get by the shark , safely to the shore. This movie is the antithesis of its title...I hope you find your own nails tasty.

Girl versus great white shark- this movie is not as exploitation as it would have been made on SyFy or 20 years ago in the theaters. Showcasing one human's determination to stay alive against an onslaught of nature.

I went into this thinking nothing can compete with Jaws...and I was proven correct. BUT, I think it was a good movie. I think my only problem with a lot of these shark movies is the sharks never look too realistic.

The Shallows won't go down as being on the level of Jaws, but as far as shark movies go it's better than most. It's mindless fun, with a strong performance by Blake Lively. And the movie looks great on 4K Ultra HD.

The movie was very fast paced, storyline runs along at a fast pace. Color palette and sound is very good. The 90 minutes goes by very fast. Sully the seagull is one to root for. Movie is not for younger children.

This film came out of nowhere and surprised me with how good it actually was! The suspense this film builds is unmatched in any recent attempt at creating a shark horror film. The acting is good enough and the shark effects never get too cheesy. A must watch of 2016!

Very solid, original shark movie that, despite the premises, never gets boring, keeping you ad the edge of your seat. The extras have a few deleted scenes (which, albeit entertaining, show why they were not in the movie). Good quality, good tension... Lots of fun.

I am a big shark movie fan...JAWS was my favorite classic shark movies. I was a littler worried that the shark wouldn't look to realistic but it was actually really good! I really enjoyed this movie. my husband was into it as well. I would recommend this to viewers!

This is a very beautifully shot film. Even when I saw it on Blu Ray. The film is beautiful to look at. ULTRA 4K takes it to a whole new level. The movie is not a ripoff from Jaws. It’s it’s own film and leaves you on the edge of your seat. Great movie!

If you liked the movie Jaws you are definitely going to enjoy this film. Shallows will keep you on the edge off your seat. Call over friends and some family sit back and be thrilled with the special effects.

I saw this one in the movie theater when it came out and although I still prefer Jaws it wasn't bad at all. Some good intense moments that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It really looks good in 4K

I was sold on this movie based on the plot. I've heard people complain that the plot was bit thin and boring based on the fact that the setting pretty much stays the same throughout the entire movie. As a fan of Open Water and its sequel, I thought that a movie could be thrilling without all the tricks. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The acting was slightly below the average, the plot was incredibly thin, and the special effects were laughable. I was very disappointed. Luckily, I got this movie on sale. Now I know why.

Only giving this 5 stars because I see the movie is now worth more money than what I paid for since it was packaged with a special hologram type insert. I haven’t opened the movie yet...

When I received the box & noticed a dent I was initially worried that the item(s) would be damaged however upon opening the package everything was unharmed. Also, great film from Sony
