It’s great to see this in delicious 4K. This is single handedly one of the greatest movies of all time. I’ve seen it at least 10 times. If you never seen it before do yourself a favor and watch it! If you’re looking for the best quality of this movie, this is it.

One of the greatest movies of all time that anytime it is on TV, I have to watch it. Everytime I find something new that I didn't before adding welcome revelations to the story. So glad there's a 4K release to watch and thank you BB for having a holiday sale on it!

First off, i absolutely love this movie to begin with..with its all-star cast but to get it on 4k and it has an amazing transfer..definitely a must have for your 4k collection even if you already have it on BR.

This 4K presentation is the best I've ever seen for this film. As an absolute classic it's definitely much deserved. The 5.1 DTS-HD is very well done but could've perhaps been improved with a DTS-X or Atmos track. Still a must own for any fan of The Shawshank Redemption.

Another Stephen King masterpiece from the great Frank Darabont! Read the short story; it’ll help you appreciate this classic even more! Arguably my favorite movie of all time, so incredibly inspiring and powerful! A must-own!

One of my favorite movies so I had to get it in 4k. I still haven't watched this one yet but so far only the Deer Hunter in 4k wasn't worth the upgrade to 4k. Most of the older movies seem to get the biggest upgrade in quality of picture when going to 4k.

One of my all-time favorite films in the 4K UHD format is spectacular, to say the least! This is one of those films you never get tired of watching. For people out there that have not seen this yet, I highly suggest checking it out..at least one time! :)

The film looks basically perfect in 4k which goes well with the perfect acting in it. Actually basically everything about this movie is perfect with perfect pacing that allows you to really connect and understand whats happening to the main characters.

Stephen King is a true master story teller. This story has none of the spookiness associated with King's works. It's just a marvelous story. Because it was a novella, the movie is true to the story line; none of the subplots were eliminated as are so many movies made from books. Some movies even "Hollywoodize" the ending! How frustrating is that to those who either read the book before or after seeing the movie.

An all time classic! Shawshank Redemption is one of my most favorite movies of all time, and it's never looked better with this new 4k. Kind of disappointed with the steelbook don't really like the purple color, but other than that this was a great release.

It had been so long since I'd seen Shawshank, I'm so glad I grabbed the Blu-ray. I had forgotten how how good this film is. Truly one of the best movies ever made. Some great bonus features on the Blu-ray, the British documentary is the best of the bunch. The picture quality of the film is incredible.

should have gotten the best picture award back in 1994/95 guess crime does not pay tim robbins and morgan freeman proves that it does. great movie and storyline with a nice twist if you have not seen this classic movie - check it out- you wont be disappointed. clancy brown and bob gunton are always good in this movie as the warden and captain of the prison guards

One of my favorite movies of all time. The theme of hope even when circumstances seem hopeless against seemingly unbeatable odds is a story that is timeless. Would highly recommend this version with the extra interviews and documentaries.

I've seen this movie dozens of times over the years, but it never looked as good as it did on this 4K release. Man! Loved it! My 20 y/o daughter had not seen the movie but I convinced her to watch it with me and I'm glad to say she enjoyed it.

4k Picture Quality: 9.5/10 Audio: 8.25/10 This is a stunning transfer. They did a new 4k scan and then added dokby vision for a near flawless presentation. The music score is easily loud enough and sounds magical in some scenes. This is a must own.

This is my favorite movie in the whole world. I owned it on DVD, Blu-ray and now 4K. This version is much better than the other Blu-ray I owned which looked distorted on their prison stripes. Such an amazing movie, everyone should own it.

As are "Stand by Me" and "Apt Pupil", "Shawshank Redemption" is a great film adapted from a Stephen King novella published in 1982. An excellent story of a man unjustly imprisoned for the murder of hia wife and her lover, this film highlights the indomitable strength of the human spirit, friendship and hope. At the cost of a digital rental, this movie should be in every cinephile's collection.

If you haven’t seen this movie in your lifetime, I highly recommend it. Considered by many to be the best movie of all time, it’s definitely on my top 5 list. Gripping characters, thrilling plot, which makes you feel all the feels.

No movie collection can be complete with this legendary film. Now on 4K and in Steelbook edition - which is awesome. You know the movie, you know the characters and now it's time to watch this iconic flick in beautiful 4K format. Amazing.
