This is one of the best films to come from the american film industry. It was higly overlooked when it was released, but now watch it in all its glory. The performances are amazing, and this is possibly Tim Robbin's...well...only good performance. Let's not forget the great Morgan Freeman who does an excellent job in this film. Not one to miss.

This is a great story. The acting, the story, the plot. The characters made me feel as if I was a part of the movie. Shawshank is an awesome movie to watch on a lazy/rainy day with a blanket on the couch. I have watched this movie over and over again.

A lot of Stephen King's stories are adapted to film and are disappointing to viewers. This one is not one of these films. I have watched this movie dozens of times. Each time I watch it, I almost forget that I know the ending, and I catch myself wondering what the outcome will be. This is a must as far as owning and viewing.

This is an amazing film that really keeps you thinking after you see it. I'm having trouble pointing to one thing that makes this movie stand out from all other movies - but it definitely does. I highly recommend that anyone who is anyone buy this movie and see it at least once. I say - BUY IT!

This is one great movie! Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins are excellent in this film! This is a film that I cannot get tired of watching. I really recommend it especially to those of you who love collecting movies. This is one movie you would want to add to your collection. I promise!!! LOL

There is literally no action in this movie but it does not matter. This movie stands the test of time as one of my top ten all time favorites. The story will grab you to the end and you will end caring about all these characters.

This was one of the BEST movies I ever watched, and I watch it again and again. However the BD version offers little if any extra then the regular dvd offers.

This is one of my favourite movies of all time! It is something you can watch over and over again. It is long, but I supose that could be considered a good thing. I love the plot and the acting was awesome! The ending is perfect (in my opinion). Must own!

I've heard those words used to describe this movie before. And I don't believe them. This is probably one of the top twenty five movies ever, and not at all underrated. I recommend this to everyone of R-rated viewing age who likes movies.

Beautiful story of friendship, survival, and hope. This movie grabs us from the beginning and never lets go. One of the best and satisfying endings in movie history. 'Get busy living or get busy dying...'

This movie is in my top 20 movies of all time. You won't regret taking 2 1/2 hrs out of your day to watch this perfect movie. This has to be Morgan Freeman & Tim Robbins' best performance's in a movie ever.

ONE OF THOSE RARE MOVIES THAT YOU CAN WATCH OVER AND OVER. ITS ON TOP A VERY SHORT LIST OF MOVIES I WILL NEVER GET TRIED OF WATCHING. I WOULD HIGHLY ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO SIT DOWN AND WATCH ATLEAST ONCE.

I love this movie and I waited too long to purchase it. I feel lucky though because I got the 10th Anniversary Two disc special edition. Pop some corn and curl up and watch this one. It is a true treat.

this is a very detailed movie and all of the camera work is done so well as to make the the symbolism crystal clear. Overall, it is an amazing movie and should be owned by avid movie-goers everywhere.

Just bought the blu Ray after having watched the dvd for years. The blu Ray picture quality is far superior to the dvd and I would recommend it.
