This is a good classic horror movie and jack Nicholson at his best in his character.

Classic movie. Great steelbook. Special features and digital copy sold it for me.

Jack Nicholson is one of the great actors of all time. His facial expressions and demeanor are exceptional, especially opposite Shelly Duvall. The movie is about a family man that once he arrives at the hotel where he is going to be the caretaker begins to slowly descend into madness. The deja vu he feels is real because he has been there before and the viewer gets to observe the metamorphosis of a previously caring, loving family man change into a psychotic killer with no special affects other than Nicholson's facial expressions and demeanor.

I found the movies I wanted, had no issues checking out. Everyone was friendly

The Shining is my all time favorite. I cannot bore of this movie with the great Nicholson. Many dislike the fact that Kubrick moved away from Kings book but I really don't mind as King had a shot at his own take in yet another 90s miniseries. This is one that stays in your mind if you have not seen it. The steelbook is precious! These steelbooks have inside and outside art. This one appears to be cheaper than the regular bluray sometimes. I got 2 of them!

This in my book is one of the most twist and psychotic films i have seen..But hey got Jack Nicholson in it what do expect..the film is about a writer who takes a job for the overlook hotel during off season. With his wife and son who has the power to Shine..Which all the ghost become active. The 4k was really really great color and contrast..great sound..All around a great film to add to your collection

Legendary movie even better on 4K. One of the top 5 scary movies of all time.

Great horror movie. Jack Nicholson is amazing. Perfect for this time of year.

I know a lot of people don't like the movie because it strays so far from the book. But as someone who saw the movie first before having read the book, I felt it stands as a good horror movie. I was very young when I saw it and it creeped me out back then, so it stays with me.

Could be better could be worse but this is a legendy movie. The artwork not so much

Great movie and great transfer to 4k, best its ever looked. It doesn't look like a new digital movie so it doesn't look as good as the newest movies coming out of Hollywood, but it does retain a nice film quality as the director intended. If you already own the blu ray, upgrading may not be worth it, unless your a huge fan of the movie and want the best it can be

Good copy/ translation to 4K. Looked great on my TV. Little to no grain.

This is the best horror film of the 80s and can't no one say otherwise

This isn’t a review for the film, it speaks fir itself. What makes this 4K HDR Blu-ray so great is the clarity. This film has never looked this good even when it was first released. It’s a fine example of what can be done with older films. Sound wise it’s as expected for Blu-ray, but the picture takes center stage. If you’re a fan of this movie, this is the best version hands down

Very awesome slip cover! Had to return the item that was shipped and exchanged it in person to make sure the slipcover was in good, borderline factory condition. This movie is a classic but I have never finished seeing it all, only in parts. I bought it to watch it in full because of how much I enjoy Doctor Sleep, which is a “spirited sequel” to this classic.
