I truly love this film. It really gets into your mind and it’s so intelligently made. Based on Stephen King’s creepy novel, this film really shines! This Blu Ray Steelbook is a really nice edition of the film with great cover art!

Kubrick definitely left his mark on history with his films. Jack Nicholson plays this part so well, and the creep factor is turned way up! You can’t be a horror fan if you have never seen this one.

This is visually the best I've ever seen of this movie. 4K format brings all colors and detail out. Audio is also excellent. Steelbook packaging is very creative in art design. Definitely worth having.

Great movie. Bone chilling. Love it. A keeper. Brings back great memories of seeing it the first time when it came out and saw it in the Drive in movie theater. Too bad those dont exist any more. Love it.

Its the shinning.....its awesome. We all know this. And this is probably the best copy to watch. Super clean and sharp.

It's great to have this Kubrick classic in 4K. Anxiously awaiting the 4K release of Dr. Sleep to compliment this. Again, I am a SteelBook collector, so I will always go for the SteelBook version when available, but honestly, I like the Amaray are for this release better (the silhouette of Nicholson and the ax). To be clear, the four star review is for the SteelBook art ONLY; the movie itself is a classic, and warrants FIVE stars.

From a movie this old to look this good is fantastic. It’s reason enough to purchase it again on 4K if you already have it on DVD it Blu-ray. And to state the obvious, the movie is great too.

Hey it’s a Kubrick film so it’s going to be good! Scary and frightening, but not gory. The steelbook is nice too, with a picture of the famous “axe through the door” scene filling the two sides of the inside of the steelbook.

This movie is an absolute classic. The 4K release does a great job of enhancing the audio and video quality. The movie itself is timeless and is still one of my personal favorites 40 years later.

Shot on film, but this is the best quality of the film youll get. There is definitely grain, but the textures and colors pop more than its predecessors. They did a very good job with this 4k transfer.

Was not thrilled when I saw this in the theater. But, this 4K is an astounding feat much like 2001 4K. Picture and sound totally immersive. Well, worth adding to the horror library.

One of the scariest, creepiest films ever. Through minimalist shots Kubrick imbues a sense of desperate solitude. While Nicholson is riveting, the whole cast just freaking nails it. Love Scatman Crothers, the ol'charmer.

Warner bros the shining 4k really shines in this high definition format. The detail and sharpness make this a worthwhile purchase. I am really happy with this 4k movie.

This is a major classic movie. Very clear in 4K. I enjoyed it just as much as the first time I saw it. Jack Nicholson gave an Oscar performance.

Love the book? Then you will love Stanley Kubrick's take on the award winning author Stephen Kings famous book “The Shining”. This will leave you with questions and doubts. I love the way Kings mind works. One of my favorites.

Great to review the old them to see the new both were great but the book and movies clash at certain points you have to read the book then look at the 2nd movie the shining ending is confusing.

I love this film so much. I could read books on the making of this film for the rest of my life and still find new things out I didn’t know. This steelbook is so classy looking and well made

This 4k copy was masterfully redone. The movie itself is a classic and Jack Nickelson is doing a great performance. Do yourself a favor and pick up this remastered movie.

Great show, The book is better, but Jack tkes the cake and cuts it with an ax! Fantastic on upscale to 8k monitor
