The Shining was a good movie, it was very interesting.

Got over Halloween weekend. Great movie. Recommended.

I didn’t end up keeping this and returned it. Nothing against the movie, I loved it back when it was released, I just changed my mind.

I know this movie is iconic but to me it's not the best. The color looks good in 4k though. Kubrick really didn't bring out the best in this film.

The Shining is a King Classic and deserved so much more for a blu ray treatment. The sound and picture clarity were great, but lacking special features and uv rights was dinger.

Although the 4K picture looks good (not great), there are several times throughout the film where the audio is not in synch with the video. It’s quite obvious. I don’t have an elaborate set up where the audio has to travel a long way to be heard; it’s just my 4K player and my 4K television. All the setting are fine. Every other 4K that I purchased is perfect, including the new Jaws 4K. I’m surprised that no one caught this during the transfer. I would say do not buy this DVD because it isn’t worth it. Aside from the technical issue, the extra features leave much to be desired. Same extras as older versions, unfortunately. I tried returning this to Best Buy and they said that it’s probably a settings issue. Typical response. I worked in audio production for years, but what do I know? They also said that it isn’t their policy to take back defective media. So since it isn’t their policy, I guess they expect me to fly out to Hollywood and return it directly to Warner Brothers Studios. What great customer service. I’m now stuck with a $25 DVD that I won’t ever watch again. Best Buy has lost a customer.

Well there is not much to say about this movie i was a little dissatisfied because there was to much talking in the movie

Never seen the movie before. Purchase it and was disappointed. 4k show off but movie was terrible.

This movie has always seemed overrated a bit to me, but this is a very nice presentation with this cool steelbook.

It's a classist horror film but not be for everyone. very slow pace

This is a great old classic movie. Anyone that is a horror movie fan should put this on their must watch list.

The dvd was fine. Unfortunately, the movie stinks. You feel no empathy for any of the characters. Even Wendy, who is obviously in a repressive marriage, is to whiney to care about. Nicholson is creepy in a slasher kind of way, but that’s all. My advice, watch the tv miniseries from 1997.

Not as good as the book but still a good film. King hated it though.

Not the best artwork, but a nice steelbook at a good price.
