One of my favorite movies of all time! This 4K was crisp and the best I have ever seen of this movie.

This film has never looked better. I would highly recommend this film this is an excellent transfer. Most of us have seen this film on Blu-ray. But this is next level in 4K once again this is never looked better. I do recommend this film . enjoy . Long live physical media

My 2nd favorite work done by Kubrick and the performances are amazing in the film from everyone in the cast. The new 4K transfer adds a lot of detail to the look and cinematography, it’s worth the upgrade and purchase. Then, for the steelbook it’s clean and fits so well.

The movie is one of the best ever made! This blows the old blu Ray out of the water in video quality! This movies looks awesome for being almost 40 years old. This is a must own if your a fan of the movie! This might be one of the best looking 4K movies for how old it is!

Love this movie and really enjoyed revisiting it. WB did a great job with the remaster and it’s just as chilling now as it was 40 years ago. The steelbook design is great as well. Very happy with this purchase. Planning on watching it a couple of times during October!

What more is there to say? This is an awesome film and I was glad it was remastered to 4k. The previous Blu Ray wasn't very good, quality-wise and this is a step up. The steelbook is interestingly designed but I wouldn't call it a knock-out. Recommended horror film!

One of my all-time fave Kubrick films and horror films on 4K Blu-ray? Yes, please! This release looks amazing. The level of detail is jaw dropping. The sound is solid throughout. Only nitpick would be no Atmos track but I can live without it. Highest recommendation!

I'd never seen this movie before and I was impressed with the 4K transfer on the disc! Physical media always offers the best quality versus streaming and that is highly important when watching movies or listening to music. I also enjoyed the movie, of course.

First time ever watching this film and I could say this is an absolute classic! The Picture teansfer is pristine with some film grain as you would expect from an old film. Sound mix is OK but I can understand that this is an old picture. Enjoyed watching it.

It’s always hard to review these old movies that have been released on Blu-ray or 4K Blu-ray. However, the sound has definitely improved and Stanley Kubrick‘s masterful cinematography looks better than ever. The limited edition steel book is a nice touch too

This is another no-brainer to purchase on 4k. Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece stands the test of time with a huanting musical score, an incredibly unsettling atmosphere, and terrifying tension. Stands at the top of all horror films along with The Exorcist.

If you are planing to watch the new movie "Dr. sleep" you must watch "The shining" first. After I watch this movie for the second time some of the scenes had more meaning to me. If you like Jack Nicholson you will enjoy his performance in this film.

Another classic horror film from the 80's... I really enjoy older horror films like this not only because I grew up watching them but it's nice to know that movie companies haven't forgotten that some films are worth the extra effort to re-release them.

I always loved this movie. Actor Jack Nicholson does a incredible job in this movie; as well as. I forget her name that plays his wife in the movie. Stanley Kubrick does an incredible job directing this movie and making sure it scares the crap out of ya.

With the impending release of Dr. Sleep, I upgraded my blu ray copy to 4k. The movie is a classic that cable TV has been running for the last few weeks. However, Comcast broadcasts HD @720p so if you want to see the best quality copy you need a disc.

I should start off by saying that The Shining has never looked better than this 4K UHD. This is one of the best transfers I have seen. It goes without saying the movie is incredible. If your a fan of The Shining then you definitely have to buy the UHD.

The included remastered blu-ray is solid improvement over the old blu-ray. I don't have a 4k player yet. I thought the steelbook art was lame when I saw it online but in person my mind changed instantly. Get it now if you are a big The Shining fan.

A Stanley Kubrick classic. The Shining looks awesome in 4K compared the previous 1080p edition. I couldn't believe how good it looked for a such an old movie. It actually felt scarier because of how good it looked in 4K. Highly recommended 4K movie.
