The disc was scratched, and therefore skipped a lot. I was disappointed that I did not get to see the whole movie without it skipping.

Like Psycho and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, this 1991 film (based on Thomas Harris's book) is partially based on real-life killer Ed Gein. FBI agent-in-training Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) is sent to enlist the aid of incarcerated cannibalistic killer Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) in the hopes that he may provide information that'll help capture killer-at-large Buffalo Bill (Ted Levine). Lecter agrees and uses the opportunity to discover what drives Clarice to do what she does. The scenes between Foster & Hopkins won both well-deserved Oscars. Levine, in an all but overlooked performance, is also scary. The ending is wonderfully and appropriately chilling.

You know you've got to love this movie no matter what everybody knows about Silence of the Lambs and how wonderful it is but I'd like to talk about the 4K transfer it's awesome and I think that well you should get this disc and then when you get this disk if you don't already have the Criterion disc you should get that one as well because it's got a lot of different extras

If you want to watch a terrific horror movie that is actually directed to perfection, look no further then The Silence of the Lambs. If you consider yourself a horror fan, just go and pick this movie up. It is that good! You will not be disappointed. There is terrific acting all around, and the music is excellent! This is also one of the best directed movies, horror or non-horror. Have fun with this movie!

Jody Foster and Anthony Hopkins are totally Great in this Police Detective Thriller Killer movie. every actor in the movie, fits the roll they play. watch it for yourself and you will see what I mean Nuff Said

It amazes me how well this movie holds up over time. Anthony Hopkins and Jodi Foster deliver stellar performances, and the movie remains creepy, even in this day and age when horror movies are a dime a dozen and people are becoming increasingly desensitized to such things. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Anthony Hopkins is terrifying as a psychopath in this timeless thriller. Jodie Foster is a special agent who must traverse the psychological landscape to stop a killer. It puts the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose.
