I'm a long time Simpson's fan, so I picked up the seventeenth season. The humor is funny like I remember from older seasons, but there seems to be more sexism and unfairness towards females in some of the episodes in this new season. There is a sexist math episode that was so scathing that I had to stop watching it. I remember the Simpsons as having light family friendly humor that is fun for everyone to watch. These newer episodes have made me feel mildly to strongly offended which I'm not used to from the Simpsons. I wouldn't recommend it to female watchers.

I love The Simpsons, and this boxed set (in the collector's head box) doesn't disappoint!

While this season is near the valley of the the Simpsons greatest seasons, it is sad to know that this is the last dvd/bluray release the studio will release. I have been collecting all the seasons, and would have continued to do so, because the releases have such great bonus features. I don't know of many other releases that have commentaries on every episode. That makes it worth it.

One of my favorite shows ever! A classic! I actually prefer the early episodes to the later ones.
