My Limit With Roger
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the Roger Moore Bond film that is my dividing line. After this, his next four are unbearable due to the direction of hokeyness the Broccolis took the franchise. And Barbara Bach is a robot. Still recommend but only at your own risk.

Cool Graphics
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was it me, or did Roger Moore's facial expression ever change. The Barbara Bach performance is better than Roger.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yet again, its just a 007 movie. Enough said. The older ones are usually worth a watch.

Roger Moore & Jaws Bring the Camp!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll admit it.... Roger Moore is my favorite Bond. What can I say? I like the campiness over the seriousness of say, Sean Connery or the "realness" of Daniel Craig. That's not to say that I dislike either of them or those films, but I grew up with the late 70's/80's Bond and despite my young age (at the time), I managed to see most of the Roger Moore 007's in the theater., Perhaps it's just nostalgia, but it just seems right. I find myself watching these films "Moore" than any others in the 007 universe. That being said, The Spy Who Loved Me was one of my favorites (along with Man With the Golden Gun) and I absolutely adore Barbara Bach, both then and now.. And what can I say about Jaws? He freakin' rules! I remember how pumped I was to see him back in Moonraker. Anyway, pick this one up! The quality of the Blu-ray is great and it's got some cool extras.

Roger Moore's best James Bond movie
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THE SPY WHO LOVED ME is the best of Roger Moore's James Bond movies (and Moore's personal favorite Bond movie). The plot involves a madman shipping tycoon who hijacks US, British and Soviet nuclear submarines in order to start a war between the US and the USSR so he can repopulate the world with his own undersea society. The movie's opening scene is regarded by many as the most impressive opening scene in the entire Bond series as 007 skis off a mountain cliff with the villains in pursuit. Bond then opens a parachute emblazoned with the British flag. Barbara Bach (Mrs. Ringo Starr) is arguably one of the most exotic-looking Bond Girls in the series, but unfortunately she is also one of the least-talented---but this is a James Bond movie, so who cares about her acting? Curt Jurgens is disappointing as the villain in that he underplays him throughout the movie, but "Jaws" (Richard Kiel) compensates for Jurgens by becoming one of the most memorable Bond villains (so much so that fan demands resulted in Jaws returning in MOONRAKER). Shane Rimmer co-stars as the US sub's commander after having brief appearances in YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE and DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER. The ship models, production design by the legendary Ken Adam and special effects are excellent in this movie. Carly Simon's theme song "Nobody Does It Better" was one of the most popular Bond themes ever, but the rest of Marvin Hamlisch's weak score just proves how outstanding John Barry was at composing the 007 scores. Despite some substandard acting by Bach and Jurgens, Roger Moore is at his best in THE SPY WHO LOVED ME making it one of the best Bond movies in the series.
