Even though i had read the books (prompting me to buy the series), season one still left me and my entire family on edge wondering how the directors were going to translate the next events onto the screen and what was going to happen to the story's heros. After months of waiting for season 2 to come out on disc it was truly a dissapointment to see that they really missed the mark in terms of continued development of the characters. Combine that with the subpar hokey special effects and what you get is a continuation of a plot that really can't engage the audience.i gave up watching after disc 1 and not likely to take the time to finish the rest of the season. Hoping they will improve the next installment.

Not finding season two to be as enjoyable as season 1. I enjoy the deviation from the books to create a different story, but I cannot seem to stay that interested to watch this season. My wife on the other hand enjoys this season more than I.

A lot of times there is a letdown in the second season and the strain is no exception. However, there are numerous creepy, scary, and sometimes rewarding set pieces. It just turns out that the parts are better than the whole.

Typically, just the vampires movies. Do not let the kids watch.
