Though I'm very much an apologist for the 2016 Suicide Squad movie, I can't deny that this iteration is so much better in just about every way. It features a great mix of new and established characters who all managed to leave a significant impact even if they only had a limited amount of screentime. It's so fantastic to see James Gunn let loose with a ton of violence, cursing and a bunch of other material we'd be deprived of if this had to be PG-13. And what's better is that he still manages to keep his strong style of having a bunch of oddball characters with surprisingly sympathetic elements that just endear you to them even more. And on the packaging side, I love the steelbook design of having everyone's logos on top of a bunch of bullets. It's perfectly fitting for a movie like this

If you're looking for something akin to Guardians of the Galaxy 1 or 2.... you're not getting that (aside from the team angle), because James Gunn is coming at this from his "Slither" and "Super" past, with a much more ultra lewd and ultra violent brush, which may or may not be for everyone. Personally I don't mind content like that, but I feel that they could have been handled better, the jokes more or less felt flat (which is a combination between writing and delivery), and I felt the ultra violence was a bit too in your face at times. The cast is pretty solid, everyone delivery good performances, but again the writing doesn't always work in their favor. Harley Quinn is actually fairly well written in comparison to her previous installments, but the side story they give her doesn't really work, killing the pacing, but we do get an amazing action sequence with her. Idris Elba and John Cena work well together, but again their writing didn't fully work for me. But I will say the best character in the film, all around is Rick Flag.

Honestly, I bought this cause it was cheap on black Friday and I heard it was good. It is good as the cast is perfect and the dark humor is great. very violent and earns its R rating. If you like more adult comic book style, you will love this

Action. Check. Comedy. Check. Drama. Check. Goofy humor. Check this movie had it all and then some. I watched it 4 times in theaters and about 40 times at home. It looks amazing in 4k

great gun gore and humorous with a bunch of dark humor! this movie starts off hard! from start to finish its nothing but laughs and gore! i will be mad if they dont get gun again to finish the trilogy

Great movie. James Gunn did an outstanding job overhauling this close to dead movie franchise. If your a fan of DC comics, check out this movie. Crazy action, quality storytelling

It has it's high points and low points IMO. I thought Jame's Gunn wanted to make a DC version of Guardian's of the Galaxy. DC movie's are know for having a dark edge he tried for both. And it was a mixed bag however the actings and special effects were good.

Worth the price of admission for the movie alone (which looks great on 4k), but the outtakes and the commentary really seal the deal. Skip the first Suicide Squad and go straight for James Gunn!

Despite the slightly confusing title, The Suicide Squad is indeed the second movie in the series. All of the actors do their characters justice here, with only a few missteps that are likely due to the writing (the thing with Polka-Dot Man seeing everyone as his mother is meant to be hilarious, but actually it's just gross). DC is obviously trying to go the way of Marvel's Deadpool with the violent and raunchy humor here, but it works for the most part. The addition of King Shark was a wise choice, as his parts easily steal the show. There is still a heavy focus on Harley Quinn, but the chemistry between the characters and an interesting main villain save this one from mediocrity. While not perfect, I'd say The Suicide Squad is a fine addition to the DC movie universe...just don't take it too seriously.

A great and fun movie that's made all the better with the HDR treatment! Much better than the first one and the picture quality is outstanding!! Highly recommend.

James Gunn's The Suicide Squad is an absurdly fun spectacle with colorful characters, over-the-top action, and a few huge set pieces that launch what otherwise feels like a goofy, low-budget romp into much bigger territory. Although slightly derivative of other superhero films and franchises, it skates by on pure charisma and confidence alone, even if it sadly underperformed at the box office... even compared to the much less impressive 2016 film, which is just a crying shame. (I guess the Joker really is that big of a draw.) Regardless, Warner Bros.' 4K edition is terrific, pairing top-tier A/V specs with a nice collection of extras.

The reviews on this one are not wrong. Better then the first one by far however personally i would have prefered different "heros" (i love Deadshot) the movie was goot to great

Great looking and great sounding movie. The colors in certain scenes really pop and the Atmos is fantastic. Must have for collectors!

So glad I decided to buy this! I think it’s one of the best releases of the year. Definitely recommend checking it out if you haven’t seen it.

This was a fun movie like most of James Gunn movies are. Great visuals in 4k accompanied with an all out exiting plot.

This movie made it so I could forget the terrible suicide squad movie before it. A great blend of action and comedy.

Actually I love it. I love John Cena as peacemaker and the shark. Very funny movie and a little crazy. No for seeing with you 5 or 6 year old kid.
