A fantastic movie! Perhaps of Matt Damon‘s best, Jude Law and Philip Seymour Hoffman ain’t bad either.

This is a movie that needs to be watched a few times to understand but is worth it.

It's always good to see Philip Seymour Hoffman in a film that I've loved since I first saw it. The acting is superb; the cast is well appointed and Matt Damon successfully nailed being the deceptive and deviant chameleon the character was to portray.

An exciting and gorgeous thriller, "The Talented Mr. Ripely" is a great addition to your home library. I'm a big fan of Patricia Highsmith's book, and Anthony Minghella's film adaptation is a resounding success: well-acted and suspenseful.

Finally arriving on Blu-Ray, 14 years after its theatrical release, The Talented Mr. Ripley was worth the wait. A near-perfect transfer, the image has been opened up to 1.78:1. The video is near-perfect, and the audio is reference-quality.

I don't know why this movie didn't win the Oscar back then. Especially, for Matt Damon's phenomenal performance as the lead. I can't say enough good things about it. Everything was perfect.

I am glad that Best still offers Blu-Rays. It is getting harder and harder to find vendors selling worthwhile movies on Blu-Ray. This film was priced fairly and I will go back for more.
