Quite possibly the greatest horror film of all-time. The Blu-ray looks and sounds incredible. An essential film for any horror or general film enthusiast. It doesn't just hold up, it keeps getting better with every passing year.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of those movies that does not age. When it was initially released it was a movie of its time but as the years go on the movie continues to hold as a masterwork in horror. This is a beautiful transfer with vivid tones and deep rich blacks. Best Buy's steelbooks are always tasteful and well done.

This review is about the steelbook case, not the movie...They finally made a steelbook for TCM!!..It looks amazing, with all new artwork and not the same image they have been using for 20 years!!..Colors are fantastic and the print is sharp..I'm buying 2, one for display and one to open :)..Great job on this one!!

After watching this film from start to finish. I can see and say, why this is classic slasher film. It’s bloody. There’s intense feelings of terror. It’s perfect movie to reflect on the era of slashers films.

This by far is one of the greatest horror movies ever created. Tobe Hooper is simply one of the finest directors ever. Leatherface rules in this latest release.

I remember seeing this in the seventies when it came out. It scared the heck out of me. For some reason up in till a few years back I'd always thought this was based on a true story. I must say that it still holds up. Director Tobe Hooper along with John Carpenter really set the bar for horror films.

This 40th aviversary edition looks pretty good...this is probably the best it's going to get considering the print is from 1973...the colors look great especially the reds!..audio sounds great also...comes with all the bonus features and includes everything the blu-ray does on the two standard discs for those that do not have a blu-ray player...

Also this Movie has Been Released and Re-Released so many time since VHS, DVD and now BLU-RAY, people will always seem to buy it becuase it is a movie that has that type of a Following. I watched it (again) the same day I bought it. And guess what, I will watch it again when they come out with the 45th Anniversay Edition Five (5) Years from now.

The price is insanely good. The steelbook has very nice art. The finish is very smooth as well. Would recommend to anyone who collects steelbooks or is a fan of the horror genre.

Great Movie.. THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE is a film that will stay with you for life. Forget about the sequels and remakes etc.; Tobe Hooper's original is still the best. There is a reason why this film is so respected among horror fans.

Fantastic film that’s been released a lot over the years, great edition picture looks great and the sound is perfect if you have the right home theater requirement. One of the better horror films out there

This more stripped down single disc remastered version is good for those fans that prefer not to pay a premium price for the more expansive sets. While I'm not much of a fan of the film overall, the quality put into this release is undeniable.

Great movie of course. It's a classic obviously. No complaints there. The steel book is even cool but the quality of this transfer absolutely sucks. The first few minutes of the film froze when I finally got the chance to play it on my new Blu-ray player. Otherwise the film itself is five stars

Glad they sent the right one this time. When I first ordered it I received some chapter 2 directors cut edition that obviously wasn't a steelbook so I returned it and ordered this agsim and I'm glad I finally received the right one.

If you love this movie, and you should if you're into classic horror, pick up this Blu-Ray! The new remastered transfer is from a restored 4K print from the original rolls of film and is probably the best this film will ever look. There's a newly remastered audio track, too, and tons of extras! A must for any Leatherface fan.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a horror icon whose importance is rivaled only by Psycho and the original Halloween. This new transfer is spectacular. The extras are exhaustive. It's the definitive edition, coming after a long line of rereleases. Yes, it does come in a G1 dvd sized case, but it's not annoying enough to not buy.

Iconic. Simply put, Iconic. For anyone that hasn't watched it, dont hesitate & dont let the remakes / reputation make you think it was a gorefest like today's movies. It wasn't, and surprisingly, just as effective. True classic.

What can I say? THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE is a horror classic and this blu-ray makes it even more atmospheric in crystal clear high definition. This film is VERY INTENSE! Includes many fantastic extras and surprises. The commentary tracks are quite well done and very insightful. Great product.
