I purchased this version of the movie because I did not like the version I previously owned. It was a dvd sized case so it did not fit in with my other Blu-rays on the shelf. However, that copy did have a lot of really great special features, which this version is sadly lacking. I do really love the steelbook for this version, though. The art is great.

If your a fan of this horror classic, what's not to love about this deluxe 40th. anniversary package? Best transfer to date, and tons of special features! You'll regret not adding this to your collection, if you don't.

A timeless horror classic! Steelbook is nice but the lack of inside art is a bummer.

I'm not sure how I feel about this film. Granted, it's considered a horror masterpiece, but it's ugly and mean-spirited. To be honest, I bought this release for the commentary tracks, but I'm not I want to watch it again any time soon.

AMAZING! This new 4k scan is stunning. As well as the artwork and package its great to add to my horror collection. Nothing beats the original and never will.

Today this film might not seem so scary, but for its time, it affected people about Texas, Hitchhiking, and so many other things the way Jaws did for people going into the water.

Great film that is much better than any of the sequels & still holds up better than ever because they do no make films of this raw visceral caliber anymore!! A cinema classic!!!

I have always loved this movie and am a sucker for all types of special editions so this one was definitely for me. Not only is it packed with interesting special features, it also comes in a really cool box.

Kept my family on the edge of their chair. A pillow was needed for the scary scenes & yes I'd would recommend to all. Leatherface is Scary Good. & this version has enhanced sound & Blu Ray put's it over the top.

The classic original has an almost documentary feel that makes it even creepier.

The collection itself it's great. If you have seen the movie you know what what you're getting into. If you haven't seen the movie it's an intense ride even by today's standards

So glad to finally have an updated version of this film in my collection, my original copy released by Pioneer is extremely dark and difficult to view at moments. I was hoping for an easier version to watch, and it definitely is, but since this is an older film, it obviously retained some of its grainy picture. Still a great film and the special features were totally worth it!
