This movie is excellent. It shows really creepy, gory special effects that were excellent for the time. The paranoia in ever-present the entire time. You wonder who's who. Great actors, and hey, they're making a prequel slated for next year!

One of the best horror films ever created, A thrilling slow tense psychological and yet gory film expertly directed by John Carpenter and expertly acted by Kurt Russell and company. I cant recommend enough as one of my all time favorite films.

Well i would review this blu-ray's features but it got stolen the day after i bought but luckily i've seen it before this purchase and know the movie is great.

A great movie that looks fantastic on Blu-Ray. Unlike a lot of movies, The Thing holds up well & doesn't seem dated. A bargain at the $10 price.

John Carpenter's The Thing is a classic in the science fiction genre for a reason. The special effects are top notch even today. It is impressive how well the special effect work has held up in the last three decades. The blu-ray transfer is also great.

Really love this movie. Much better than the 2011 version.

I've been waiting for a reprint of the steelbook...there were hardly any as it is upon initial release. Wish there was a way to know if a reprint was coming or not. This truly is a great film. Classic horror at its finest. I put 2 stars just out of disappointment for the serious lack of prints of this product on release day.

I would love to know how anyone got a copy of the 4K steelbook. I tried for two months to pre-order this title and couldn't ("coming soon"). The day that it came out, the nearest copy was 80+ miles away (kinda far to drive for a movie). The next day, they're all gone. Two days later, there are several listed on ebay for triple the price. How many copies were made? Who decided where they would go? I'm currently looking at the Unbreakable 4K steelbook that is also "coming soon". Dear Best Buy, if you continue to do this to your customers, we'll eventually stop coming back...
