This movie is great if you don't know it - this edition is better in picture quality than the normal version - updated color throughout and sharper image.

Best ya release yet. Scream always gives us great scans and fun bonus features. I also love their artwork. I do wish we could get a us arrow release though.

In the tradition of Ridley Scott's "Alien," John Carpenter reintroduces a creature that is sure to make you scream. Kurt Russell is is fantastic.

The Thing is definitely One of Carpenters's best. This new blu Ray is a definite upgrade from the old version. Highly recommended for horror fans!

This is one of my favorite movies, and hearing it would be put out by Shout! Factory was a dream come true. I was a little disappointed at the quality of the new transfer on their recent release of The Transformers, but this film they nailed it harder than I have ever seen it nailed before. I have watched and watched the bare bones bluray, and there is no comparison. The picture is so much noticeably better here. Add to that a whole disc worth of awesome new and archival extras and you have a must-own special edition of this horror classic.

A classic horror movie the blu ray is the worth the money
