I really bought this movie to have in my collection of dvds. I loved this movie as a child. However, when I rewatched it, it seemed sort of cheesy. Animation has come along way. Still, the heart of the transformation story still resonates in this movie more so than most of the live action ones.

Beyond Good, Beyond Evil, Beyond your wildest Imagination. That was the tag line from back in the 80's when the movie was advertised. Still holds up to this day on its fan following. Shout! Factory did an incredible job on this 4K restoration. And the steelbook looks INSANE! The pictures on here don't do it justice, this seriously POPS. One of the most detailed steelbooks i've seen lately.

For the past few years, I have been waiting for this movie to be released on Blu-Ray, and it did not disappoint. The movie looks good and it sounds just as well. There are a few special features and they are good ones as well. As for the movie, what can I say -- it is a classic! A must for Generation 1 fans.

And one must fall. There is only one Transformers movie and this is it. This is the best every. It took two years of hand drawn animation to bring this masterpiece to light and it is the only Transformers movie allowed into my house. I am just amazed to finally own this version with the clean-up quality.

Been a fan of this film since it’s original release, and have every home version that’s come out. Had to have the 4K version and it does not disappoint. Amazing art on the steelbox cover as well

I remember growing up and watching this on VHS. I even still have the VHS copy somewhere. But could not play it since I no longer had a VHS player. I loved that fact they brought it back out for the 30th anniversary on Blu-ray. Movie looks great and it takes me back every time I watch it.

Great to see this classic in 4k. Guess I will be buying this movie every five years. Relieve the tragedy of the original transformers getting decimated in Hasbro’s hope of pushing a new set of toys.

This is one of the best if not the best anime in history. Awesome soundtrack and story. The 4K looks even better than the other versions. You will clearly see the difference as soon as it starts playing.

I can not describe with words how much I've waited for this release. Being one of my favorite movies from my childhood, this movie still holds stronger than ever. Gorgeous video quality, sound is amazing, and the packaging is to die for. Simply a MUST HAVE item for any Transformers fan.

This movie has some flaws that are not going anywhere, but as a whole, this is one of the best animated feature films, in my opinion. I've been watching this movie a couple of times a year since it first came out. This is definitely a worthy upgrade for anyone who already owns a copy.

Great movie always liked it since it came out in 1986 picture is great and great sound as well picked it up in steelbook form did have the bluray but desided to upgrade to the steel book

The autobots fight the evil forces if the deception ops. Optimus dies, that's some sad shizzle. Imagine watching the transformers TV show as a kid and then boom they make a movie and your favorite character dies. That's some tears man. That messed up AF

If you grew up in the 80's you know what this is. Sweet steelbook with upgraded 4k video transfer. The best it has looked in forever. Get it relive memories or make new ones.

To date myself I saw this at the theater when it originally released. Loved it then and still love it now. I will always have a soft spot for TF in all its iterations.

I was really excited when I saw this in Best Buy after all these years. I had an early dvd copy that no longer played after a certain point and I grew up to the cartoon and this animated movie. They did a good job transferring it over to Blu Ray. Brings back memories.

Maybe the coolest steelbook I’ve ever seen, a must have for collectors. The movie itself is everything that was great about the 80s and the r soundtrack is an absolute banger.

this was one of my favorite movies growing up. I would come home and pop in the vhs and do my homework. Knew every line and song. It stil does still stand up today, even with the nostalgia colored glasses. Pick it up for that factor alone and you wont be disappointed.
