For Transformers this is a must have. It's the '86 movie in 4K. It looks great and it's a great movie. I will never forget the first time I watched this movie as a child. (beware spoilers ahead haha) I could not believe they would kill Optimus Prime. For what was a kid show at the time this movie gets serious. I still love it to this very day and watch it at least 4-5 times a year.

I’ve lost track of how many different times and different formats I’ve bought this movie haha, but with this 4K remaster, this is definitely the best version to date. It provides both the widescreen 4K remaster and the full frame blu ray edition with some great special features. If you’re a fan of this film and don’t mind buying ANOTHER copy of it, definitely worth adding to your collection.

Brings back so many memories from childhood. It was excellent back then and still is great now

For such a long time there was a void for this specific Blu-ray. I've patiently waited for a release like this. The movie is wonderfully transferred and it feels exactly the same when you were a kid watching it. It packs on alot of very fun behind the scene interviews with the various cast who are still alive. The steelbook is a very nice touch also. HIGHLY recommended!!!!

An 80's kids movie that is now a cult classic for kids of the era and cartoon lovers.

Transformers The Movie Steelbook is very well done, I love how the transfer from blu-ray to 4k looks. The 4k picture quality is super and like I said the steelbook itself is great. The animated cartoon series is great and now that this movie came out it follows the animated series very nicely. The animated series and the movie are very well done.

Words cannot describe this legendary Transformers movie. The 4k is really nice but this movie definitely need Dolby Atmos sound especially when Unicron invaded Cybertrons moons and the glass started to shake that would’ve been nice but overall still a great transfer and if you are a transformers fan this is definitely a must have in your 4k or Blu-ray collection

Every kid I knew couldn’t believe it when this movie killed off an iconic character from the Transformer series. We knew at that point it was going to be one heck of a ride. This big budget film was the turning point in the Transformer franchise and we knew what happened afterward would never be the same. This is a must own for old and new fans of Transformers.

I watched this movie when it came out in 1986. I’ve seen it through a stream platform , dvd, video, and broadcast television. This is the best version yet. Quickly brought me back to the excitement I experienced when i first saw this movie. Small price to pay for a great nostalgic experience.

I upgraded my Transformers the Movie to blue ray from DVD and was really looking forward to the digital download. However, the collectors edition box doesn't mention if it comes with a digital download. I had to search online and look for an unboxing video where they show you that it indeed does come with a digital download. Great! or so I thought. The digital download is with VHX. I had never hear of them before, I was hoping for itunes since my kids digital library is through itunes. I haven't tried to download the movie to a computer and then put it on my ipad. Hopefully it works, but I should be able to download the movie directly to my ipad without having to connect it to a computer.

Watching Transformers the Movie on Ultra 4K is the ultimate Transformers experience! If you loved this movie back in '86 as a kid, like me, then you'll love it even more on 4K. The visuals pop with crisp colors, clear animation and detailed sound. If you are new to G1 Transformers, this is a must owned movie for the collection!

There was a huge jump in picture quality from DVD to Blu-Ray, but not nearly as noticeable when compared from Blu-Ray to 4K.. If you already had this on Blu-Ray, I would just save your money.. Still the best animated movie of all time with a great soundtrack.. Takes me back to my childhood in the 80's every time!

The music is bad 80’s and the story is bad, it’s cheesy good.

to this day it is leads better than any of the bay movies.

Now, I just have to say that this is better than anything Michael Bay has put out so far. This movie embodies true transformers. Unfortunately, Bay could not bring the energy and spirit that the movie has. Bay should have taken pages out of these stories instead of the garbage he has put out. I only wish those movies were 1/3 as good as this. Bay has ruined a franchise, and I do not understand why Hollywood, Hasbro, etc keep allowing him to do this. The only thing I can say about the Bay movies are that at least he has gotten Peter Cullen to voice Optimus Prime. Needless to say I still will see his movies, but not think they are in the same world as the Transformers I know and love.

I loved this movie as a kid and now seeing remastered in 4k resolution makes me feel like a kid again watching it!!! If you were ever a fan of the transformers in 80’s as a kid you must get this, steelbook makes it even better!!!

Classic 80's flick...The action...The adventure...The robot death...The robot death!?!...My only grip with this great (product of it's era) flick is...The Death of Optimus Prime!!!...He went out dope but...He shouldn't went out at all...and the cussin' was great as well...Get a big bowl of you favorite cereal and enjoy this great cheesy animated flick.

This is a Classic Transformers collectible must have

This is the best release of the movie to date. This has two versions of the movie. The widescreen and the full screen versions. The widescreen version is the only one that's displayed on 4K. The set includes a Blu-ray disc, which has the full screen version on it. This set has three new features. The ones that cross over from the Blu-ray release from 2016 are the "'Til All Are One" documentary, audio commentary track, "The Death of Optimus Prime", "The Cast & Characters", "Transformers Q&A", animated storyboards, original theatrical trailers, and TV spots.
