I have been waiting for this movie for years. I originally saw this in the theaters as a kid, and it brought back that same giddy feeling as the first time I saw it. Movie has been cleaned up, sound is excellent quality. You cannot call yourself a Transformers fan unless you own this. My 9 year old loved it, said it was better then the new movies.

I had the touch, I had the power, so I chose to purchase one of the most traumatizing films from my middle school years and now it's in 4K Ultra HD! The film looks fantastic and you will marvel at how Hasbro opted to kill off so many of our favorites just so that they could make new toys!

This is one of my favorite movies from my childhood. I unfortunately missed out on the Blu-ray steelbook a few years ago. After hearing about this 4K steelbook rerelease I immediately knew I had to buy it. The picture quality is outstanding, definitely the best version of this film ever released.

Interesting story but not as fun as the original cartoons from the eighties.

The movie is 5 stars so my review is for the quality. This is simply the BEST way to experience Transformers the Movie. Not only is it remastered in 1080p but you have the choice to watch in 4:3 or 16:9. All in an amazing steelbook. P.S. The code to redeem a digital copy of this movie may seem expired but it's still good to use. I know this because I used it after the expiration date.

Pretty sure this is as good as this movie is ever going to look. Its a very small upgrade compared to the Blu-Ray release. However, if you are a fan of this movie its worth the price to view it under the best resolution and color conditions. The steelbook packaging is very nice as well.

The REAL Transformers movie, not the fake Michael Bay junk, finally on Blu-Ray! (If all you know is the Michael Bay version of Transformers, well, this is the original, TRUE Transformers, with characters like Optimus Prime and Megatron looking as they OUGHT to look, and acting like they ought to act. I'll put any five minutes of this film against anything in the live-action flicks, and it'll win, hands down.)

I saw Transformers The Movie back when I was 11 in theaters, and it had such an impact on me. It was dark and mature for its time, and it doesn't hold any punches. Long time characters from the TV series die as the Autobota take on the planet eating Unicron and the new leader of the Decepticons, Galvatron. A true classic of the 80s that the new Transformers film can't seem to capture the same magic.

This Transformers the movie is true 4K HDR ready and looks fantastic in 4K HDR As for the movie it self. Wow. Everything from the soundtrack to the voices (Leonard Nemoy/Spok?Galvatron) (Orson Wels as Unicron) (Robert Stack as Ultra Magnus) The real voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron and JAZZ priceless. Watched it 3 times in 2 weeks. Brings me back and love to blast it!

I never saw this movie when it came out. Saw it on a used vhs when I was in my late 20s. When it came out on dvd bought it. When blu ray steelbook came out bought it, and ow it’s on 4 k steelbook and it’s just awesome picture and sound quality my child hood is preserved

I grew up on Transformers. Watched the 80's shows when a kid. Have every season. My kids love them too. Can't beat Peter Cullen as Optimus. I purchased the movie first on DVD, then Bluray when it came out. now 4k. Couldn't pass it up for $15.

Still the best Transformers movie of all time. It’s amazing how they can actually improve the graphics on a move that was made so many years ago. Still one of my favorites. The Steelbook was amazing. Too bad it was damaged in the mail. So immediate I purchased.

The Blu-ray release from years ago was already a beautiful remaster but the 4K release exceeds that with even more faithful recoloring and a brand new 4K transfer that the including Blu-ray also uses. A classic all Transformers fans should own.

It's incredible it has been 30 years since this movie and cartoon series has lasted, becoming a classic, with several spinoff of other related animation series, including live action movies. I am very happy that this great animated movie has been made to present day media to appreciate again. Saying goodbye to old friends and at the same time getting to know new ones.

I've seen this movie long time ago in a regular disc. I am an avid fun transformer movies, animated or not. The enhance pictures looks really really great, so sharp. The toys my kids love it. This animated transformer is classic.

Great fun for the family only 2 not so bad Swear Words in the Whole Movie saw this when it came out, Ultra Magnus Says "Dam" and a little boy in the Theater turns to his dad and tells on the robot for swearing. In the Extras they Come Right Out and Say it how they were just trying to sell toys and had Not a Clue about the phenomenon that The Transformers are.

A Childhood favorite cartoon movie of mine. Was only 10 when i first saw this movie, at my local shopping mall at the time. Many memories come floating back when seeing this particular film. If your a fan of the Transformers "cartoons" and or grew up as i did watching this or your simply a fan. I highly recommend this if you don't have it already. :)

Transformers the movie is one of those classic movies that if you were a kid when it came out you'll always remember and love. This restored version is great to see and own. I can't wait to show it to my kids and see their faces as the Autobots battle the Decepticons yet again. This is a must own animated movie and great for fans and non fans alike.

The theatrical debut of the Transformers franchise sees many iconic moments, from the death of many beloved characters, the introduction of iconic villain Unicron, and introducing many to the music of Stan Bush's "Dare" and "The Touch" The 80s cheese of the battling toys is well preserved in amazing HD quality on two discs. And while the plot is light on complexity, fans of the franchise will enjoy the cast of characters on display.

This is how you remaster older animation! I wish Disney, Funimation, and discotek media would learn a lesson from this! Great detail, great colors, and no DNR! I want to see more older animation with its grain in tacked.
