As a big fan of this cartoon in the 80s, it was great to see a remastered release of the original movie. The visuals are sharp and the audio crisp. I would recommend this to any true Transformers fan, especially those who grew up on it.

I absolutely love it, and in hdr it looks better than ever. The steelbook case is amazing. I wish they could figure out the coloring for hotrod a little more but overall still the greatest cartoon movie ever made, with a rocking soundtrack.

I bought the 20th anniversary of this movie on DVD. It's still the greatest DVD I've ever bought. It has an iron on logo, a little comic book, a hologram thing and 2 discs of stuff. This 30th anniversary came with a piece of paper for a digital download and 2 discs in a steelbook. Not the coolest bluray ever, but I do love me some steelbooks.

The 1986 Transformers movie is a bona fide classic. This 30th anniversary edition is its first blu-ray realease, which is great, and it's been remastered to take advantage of the higher resolution. It has mostly the same commentary track and bonus features as the 20th anniversary edition DVD, but with a couple of new additions. There are separate discs for widescreen and full screen, which seems unnecessary (partially because there's no good reason they couldn't have put both on the same disc, but mostly because full screen is terrible and no one should ever watch the full frame version of a movie that was originally shot in widescreen).

This is one of my favorite movies from when I was younger and it’s still good now. I would even call it better than the Michael Bay movies. Just a warning to parents, there is some cussing in the movie but not a lot.

The amount of work that went into restoring this masterpiece is admirable. Almost no scratches or blotches were left over from the film transfer, and the colors are way more vibrant than what I expected. There's a lot of hidden detail that wasn't visible in the DVD or VHS releases. Highly recommended!

We Transformer fans that grew up in the 80s finally get the best Transformers movie of all on Blu-ray!! plus it comes in steelbook!!

Finally the 1986 Transformers movie gets some much needed love. Fantastic transfer and sound. Movie never looked so crisp and clear. Slight blur during the beginning lake sequence...but overall not bad. Great for fans and newbies alike! Highly recommended!!!

So glad to see this classic got the restoration it deserves. I love this movie and will watch it any day over the live action movies. It is darker than the series it came from but it stays within its PG rating. The voice cast is great and the music screams 80's but that is part of the charm. A great purchase for Transformers fans.

I'm a bit biased but in my opinion, this is the best cartoon that has ever existed! The spin-offs from the franchise alone (merchandising & toys, movies, new cartoon series) proves how influential this series was! This is the original movie based on the original series, remastered and reissued here on Bluray for the first time!!

This movie may have scarred me during my childhood, but it's still better than any of the Michael Bay movies. With the 4K upgrade, it looks even better than before. If there is one gripe that I have, that would be the steelbook cover focusing on Rodimus Prime on the front (and Galvatron on back). I understand why they were focused on, but I would rather have the classic Transformers that we know and love front and center on the cover.

I loved this movie ever since I saw it back in 1986. The steelbook is great looking. The movie itself has never looked better and the sound is excellent. This is a must have, especially if you are a fan of the franchise.

If it was not for the fact that some of my fervent Auto bots was about to get kill off in the first 20 min of the film this movie would never be the icon hit that it is today. love it our heat it I can watch this over & over when every I can .That how go this film is .This is mast for every transformer fan .own it today.

Absolutely loved this films as a kid, had to seek it out again! Owned the "remastered" 2 disc DVD but this edition is incredible! If you love animation and voice acting this is a must watch! So many great scenes and songs! The soundtrack makes you want to turn it all the way up! Love that they included a digital copy!

I am a big fan of the original cartoon series z as no went to see this in the theater. The 4k looks good but I wish they would have included the digital version as well. All in all I enjoyed watching it again.

Clean, nice, and well-done. The extensive use of spot-gloss elevates this thing well above what it deserved. Artwork is solid. If you are considering a purchase of the movie at all, get this steelbook. It is gorgeous.

One shall stand, one shall fall so if you're a Transformers fan of any kind (cartoons, live action movies,video games, toy comicbooks etc.) then this is a must have or even if you're new to the franchise do yourself a favor and go grab this blu ray it's a classic and definitely one of my favorite movies of all time.

Man I've had this movie in my collection in several forms and always will. VHS, DVD, Bluray, and 4k. Fun act: look for interviews with Orson Welles for Unicorn and what he though of his role in this movie

I liked both the blue ray version and the four K version. The voices were all clear and sound great The story is enough to make the movie interesting I wanted to try the four K to check the quality

What more can I say about Transformers. For those who doesn't have the steelbook. I guess it doesn't matter to you. However the standard edition is good as well. Standard edition comes with a nice two sided art cover. As for the steelbook, it's limited edition. And to the fans, this should be in your collection.
