Fun to go back and watch this movie again as an adult and compare it to how I remember it as a kid 30 years ago. Interesting to see the different characters. An ok movie with lots of big name actor voices. Decent story.

Looks better than DVD but not great for Blu-ray standards. Picture still fuzzy in some scenes and sound overall not greatly improved. But I am a fan so happy.

The colors are a bit off compared when I watched this as a kid. Also, the story is actually just so so. Starts off great then fizzles in my opinion. Still a must have for the collection.

But my download code had expired over a year ago. Not happy about that at all!

I loved this movie as a kid and enjoyed just as much as an adult. If you are a transformer generation 1 fan, I would recommend.

This is a great classic however I am a little upset that I couldn't notice any visual changes in the blu ray.

Love this movie and had to have the steelbook, was a little disappointed in the digital copy it has to be viewed from a source you have no other movies on and it isn't compiled to the rest of your collection.

THE OLD TRANSFORMERS ARE BETTER THAN THE NEW TRANSFORMERS

Cartoon has pretty good animation. However, was unaware there was cussing in this cartoon. Totally inappropriate for my grandson at 3yrs old so I turned it off.

The tv series is great. I was watching this with my grandson and next thing I know they cuss in it. Welp that was the end of this show. I turned it off. There should not be cussing in kids cartoons.

I watched the Transformers cartoon religiously back in the day, and when I first saw The Transformers: The Movie in early 1987, like many fans of the series, I was really shocked and surprised. Old characters pushed aside (the lasers fired by either party actually inflicted damage rather than just ricochet or bounce off), with new ones introduced. But what a movie! I missed out on opportunities to get a copy (the 20th Anniversary DVD went out of print as fast as the release). But I'm glad to have waited, because now I have the Steelbook Blu-Ray, and am very happy with the overall sound and quality. I didn't expect a lot of special features, which tend to be ignored on films like this which appeal to only a certain demographic, but Shout! did a great job giving some extras to the fans. The one glaring omission that I wish would have been included is the original music video for "The Touch" by Stan Bush which aired on MTV back in the day, but perhaps there was some legal entanglements, who knows. At any rate, I am thrilled to finally own this film, along with the DVD releases of the original series.
