I got the chance to see this one in theaters, this is a well made movie full of heart and has a message that really stuck with me about the persistence of chasing a dream and how art and passion can inspire and touch the souls of a person. Not only this great movie is worth watching, this 3D Blu-Ray does not disappoint with top notch 3D&2D picture and sound. Still wish there was more special features, but I guess I have to get over the fact that supplements are a thing of the past. But I highly recommend this film and this 3D Blu-Ray which should be the way to see this!

A True Story Best Experienced in 3D

With so many 3D bluray titles out there, it's hard to know which ones are worth spending money on and which ones aren't. Not all 3D movies are handled with the love and care in video mastering that make for a memorable 3D viewing experience. Rest assured, this is definitely one for the collection. The 3D pops in such away that it's hard to believe you are not the one walking on the wire. several times my palms got sweaty from just how immersive the 3D experience is. Great audio and video make this one highly recommended. You will not be disappointed!!

Originally I did not have much interest in getting this movie, and if it weren't on sale I would have passed it up until I could buy it used. My wife wanted to add it to the library and I am now happy that I did. While I may not ever watch it again, having it for friends to check out and family members to watch is nice. The audio and video are above average even for the blu-ray standards. I understand there is a 3D version, which for this movie would be very interesting, although not so if you get vertigo easily.

The story line was very interesting and the 3-D effects were great as well. I prefer 3-D and not spoiling the movie for you but there's one in particular scene where you feel so centered in the middle of the movie that I personally became nauseous which is unreal being that I wasn't actually there :) not to mention this is a movie the whole family can watch which is a win-win for everybody. There are not extremely a lot of 3-D movies that are exceptional like this, which makes this a collectors item.

Dead Man... (That is 3D) Walking.

It's a shame that the Studios have the perfect format (4K) to hammer home an excellent 3D presentation (full 1080P to each eye with passive glasses)... and they decide to Walk (pun intended) away from adding what can be a viscerally engaging experience to the story as this movie shows. I'm afraid of heights... and man... my palms were sweating. Are they going to bump (again... pun intended) off D-BOX also? Come on Studios... GIVE US THE OPTION to watch movies the way that WE want!

This film disappeared from theaters so quickly it made my head spin, and I'm sorry I didn't make time to see it then. There is a compelling, earnest performance from JGL at the core of this film that propels it forward and shows how great Robert Zemeckis is as a director bringing together heart and spectacle. I continue to enjoy his return from the CGI ditch he stuck himself in. The scenes on the wire are visually outstanding and should be seen on as big a screen as possible.

Okay, so it is biographical , therefore anyone who has looked up the movie has read the story and knows the outcome... But just in case ... I am not telling. A gripping biography of a man with a dream. An amazing and breathtaking dream. This movie is worth watching in 3D. The views are stunning, and the acts (Though CGI) are breath taking. Not to get nostalgic, but he completed a feat that no one will ever be able to complete again. Joseph Gordon-Levitt does the best french accent ever. KUDOS

I have a fear of heights so I don't make it a point of looking out airplane windows, racing down roller coaster tracks, visiting the Grand Canyon or spitting off bridges. I was familiar with the unique talents of this aero-artist thru newscasts and wanted to steal a glimpse of his visual experience. This movie definitely shared his bird's eye view of the world. I found myself waiting to exhale several times from the comfort of my living room couch.

If you've seen the documentary Man on Wire on Netflix, you need to follow it up by seeing The Walk — in 3-D. Robert Zemeckis puts us on top of the towers and lets us walk between them with Philippe Petit. I know this might be a hard movie for many people to watch, but it will give you a new, positive memory of the towers. Those towers inspired people, let them dream, and dare to do great things. This movie doesn't just deliver a visceral experience. It will make you dream, too.

This is more of an inspirational movie that should get people moveing & thinking about doin something bold! (Even if it may be illegal) (Joseph gordon-levitt) plays great as a french man. But while during the movie they tend to take you in & out of the story as they allow the main character to explain his storytelling & thoughts. To see the twin towers is also a nice delight. Director Robert Zameckis still has what it takes to make a great movie.

The fact that this film came and went so quickly with so few having seen it is sad, as it is a remarkable story. The climactic sequence has effects so seamless the entire experience made me tense, which is a good thing! Joseph Gordon-Levitt gave a great lead performance, and director Robert Zemeckis deserves more love. The man made Back to the Future and Forrest Gump, for crying out loud!

This movie was one I couldn't wait to see in theatres in 3D which is a big part of US history. Special effects were excellent and had you back in time when the twin towers were built. It's also a bio of the man who has a need to walk a wire between high places where no man has done before. If you get a chance to buy or rent you need to see Man on a wire which came out years ago and is narrated by Philippe Petit himself.

This is one of those movies that magically transports you inside the story being shared. Gordon-Levitt is really tasked to play the part of Philippe Petit and he does it incredibly well. The movie is a technological achievement and delivers a very real-looking tightrope walk between the Twin Towers. Acting is great; the script is believable; even the soundtrack blends in to the atmosphere of the movie. Very enjoyable.

This movie was better than I thought it was going to be, and it was excellent in 3D... could not imagine watching it any other way now. Philippe Petit is a true inspiration, and it takes some serious skill and bravery to do what he did. Overall, very enjoyable movie for anyone.

I did not remember the real life account of this famous walk so I was anxious to see this movie. It did not disappoint. The story was very interesting and had a nice mixture of emotions, humor, love, along with intense moments of the walks. It was amazing to watch footage of the views from the top of the twin towers while knowing they were no longer there. Beautiful scenery and story.

Very well-done movie that is made all the better with the addition of 3D. I am more of an action/sci-fi fan when it comes to movies, but this film held my attention quite nicely. I was pleasantly surprised since my initial reason for buying was more curiosity about the technical aspects of creating a 3D film involving these two buildings in particular. Never ceases to amaze what they can do!

The Walk tells us the story of Philippe Petit and his journey into walking through wires between the twin towers. Robert Zemekis is the director, so from the get go I expected a great film and I wasn't disaapointed at all. Joseph Gordon-Levitt never disappoints and he was the perfect guy to play the part. The way the stunts were shot truly gave me the chills and it truly is visually stunning!

I bought this for school since I had to write an analysis of it. It was really cool, but there was a lot of things I didn't like based off of the class I was analyzing it for. The director has a history of telling to much narrative and not letting the audience figure things out themselves. But I'm a big fan of Joseph Gordon-Levitt. His films always entertain me.

I saw this movie via a preview ticket, and was very much taken with the views from the supposed twin towers. I grew up in NYC, and can remember when they were being built. I never visited them, but as a bus driver, drove around them many times. I also remember when the tightrope walker actually did complete his feat, and the commotion it caused. This movie is a keeper, that's why I bought it.

The famous story of Philippe Petit's high wire walk between the Word Trade Center Towers is given a fairy tale treatment to highlight the magical and dreamy aspects of Petit's obsession to attempt this seemingly impossible and unimaginable feat. The first half is a bit slow but once the main event occurs, the special effects are top notch in depicting the walk and it's timeless implications.
