this true story plot is good but got to long in some parts.

Movie exceeded my low expectations and looked great in 3D.

I'd watch only the last 10 to 15 mins as it's the only time he's more than 6ft off the ground and even then it is hard to tollerate Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Joseph Gordon-Levitt's french accent is so bad, it's horrbly annoying to listen to for 2 hours. The movie is incredibly uneventful, mostly just Joseph Gordon-Levitt talking with his poor and annoying french accent. Really bad.

The movie was slow and not very exciting however the 3 D effects were pretty good.

Some great views. Really slow moving. Lead was really not at top of his game.

Liked it nothing really exciting. Glad I didn't see in the theatre.

Do yourself a favor and wash man on a wire instead of this movie

I am a fan of joseph, this movie was just not that great for me. I didn't know the real story of the person whom this film was based on, I watch a one hour documentary on Netflix a week later. it was better than the whole two hour movie

I remember seeing the documentary Man on Wire and was immediately hooked with the story and the daring feat that was planned and executed. Man on Wire was as definitive of a movie that really didn't need to be retold as it had actual imagery and footage from the members of "Le Coup". Overall the story line stayed true to the documentary and nothing really was over blemished via Hollywood make-overs. The sound was decent, the visuals were good, and sadly I wish the film was shot in the full spectrum to fill out my 65" TV but alas it wasn't. Still overall if you're looking for a Hollywood film based on actual life events, this one comes very close and almost to the T to being real and authentic. You won't be disappointed in having this film in your collection.

I want the 3D movie but i want to hold out for the 4k bluray... will it come later?? As for the movie, it was great, got me all emotional.. But Levits narration on top of the statue of liberty was kinda cheesy. He should at least have been aged as an older version of himself. There's also another documentary on YouTube of actual footage of him practicing for the towers.

wow, this movie was something so incredible, cant believe someone really did this. This guy all the adrenaline junkies out there, set some incredible standards that can never be repeated. very well done and a good director of this film. A must watch movie... The incredible thing is they really documented this with film and video in 1974.

I was so inspired by "The Walk". Watching this man's journey as he dreams an impossible dream and then makes it happen, no matter the risk, is truly a mind blowing experience. And if you can see it in 3D, do it! You feel as though you are on the wire with him, looking at New York city below. Incredible film that didn't get enough attention.

Suspenseful and edge-of-your seat to say the least. Just the fact that someone would even consider doing that without a net or safety features at that height is unheard of to say the least. To each is own, but I'll just take the elevator,thank you!!!!! See you at the bottom!
