I never read the comic "The Walking Dead", but I feel that it remains close to it. The Director and Producer worked closely with Robert Kirkman, the creator of the comic, and by doing this they have tried to appeal to those who read the comic. Just an amazing show, with amazing actors.

All the episodes I missed and great behind the scenes. Well worth the money. My husband got this for Christmas and the day after Christmas we were all around the TV watching!! Loved it.

At first, when The Walking Dead first aired I had a 3 month old and 1 1/2 year old kids to so I was only able to catch a few of the episodes of season 1 and season 2. When season 3 came around, I was able to watch it regularly and was hooked. Love the storylines and the fact that its not just all about killing walkers. Even those that are not horror fans will get sucked into this show. I never purchases DVD sets of TV shows but this is one i couldn't pass up.

This television series caught my eye on the second episode and from then on I was hooked. I strongly recommend this to any zombie apocalypse fan. You will not regret purchasing this series. Looking forward to the second season AMC! Keep up the fantastic work.

This is one of the best Zombies series ever! I must advise you that If you have a week stomach, this might not be a good start for you. But it is a Must see series!

In my opinion this is one of the best shows on TV and blu ray makes it that much better. There's nothing I can really say I disliked about this first season, it had good acting a good story line and the presentation was high quality for a TV show. I watched the season twice before watching it on blu ray, and let me tell you, watching it on blu ray was like watching it for the first time all over again.

Best zombie TV show ever made! The characters are well written and the acting is superb. This is no corny zombie show.

Long live the slow zombie that moves in herds. I'm loving the return to the Romero zombie (though 28 Days Later and Dawn of the Dead's fast zombies are some of my favs as well). As for this episode, I initially thought there was a bit too much set up early on in the episode but the final 15 mins of this show really built on that slow exposition. I'm looking forward to seeing what the season has in store for us. Also, not a review of the episode, but I really love buying just the shows I want to see using Amazon. This is my second purchase of a season of one of AMC's stellar original programming pieces (first purchase was mad men). I don't miss cable a bit.

Not many TV shows have the fan base or media attention that The Walking Dead has. If you want to see what everyone is talking about, you have to start with Season 1. Most long running TV series have an excellent first season and The Walking Dead is no different. Great characters and the directors and writers develop the characters with each episode.

It's a quick season, just 6 episodes, and it's a nonstop ride through and through. This is a fantastic show for anyone interested in horror, zombies, drama or just something new, I know there are a lot of zombie films and now tv shows too but this one I would say is above the rest in terms of acting, effects, shocking deaths and character progression.

One word sumes it up "Awsome!!" It's a must have for Zombie lovers.... Can't wait for season 2

I love the Walking Dead, great story line, good acting, has you wanting more! It's like a good zombie movie that keeps coming back on, instead of ending in 90 minutes. I will be buying every season of this show...as long as it continues to be great (which I believe will happen for quite some time.)

Watched the series on AMC last season and was hooked. For those of you that have not seen this series you will not be sorry, but see this before you start watching the new season on AMC.

Season 1 was a great start to what has been a awesome season 2 and many more great seasons to come. Season 1 also comes with the third bonus disc as well as the Digibook packaging that matches perfect with the season 2 Digibook packaging in the zombie head set. Great season and you can't go wrong with buying it.

First and BEST zombie show ever keep it up! Definitely buying the entire series! :)

Even though is a short season, I enjoy it everytime I watch it. Me and my nephew are fans of the tv series. Ihave never read the comics and dont know about character or plots from there, but the tv series fills me. So im going to keep watching and buying.

Excellent series on bluray, oustanding Picture and sound. Can't wait for season 2

This movie at AMC was the best show that I have seen and I like it form the start of the show to the end of the show and I cant wait to see the next chapter of the season of the walking dead. I dont think that there is nothing wrong with the moive.
