just great to have classic movies you grew up on available on blu-ray.

It's and old movie , but I have always liked it. So I bought it.

It is 1979 classic action movie. The group of warriors are seeking exit to home. Lots scene like video game , it is good point ,but need more action. " warriors coming out ... " still remember last of scene...

The Warriors is a great cult film. Pretty violent but it was one of the first films to deal with life within a gang. Pretty entertaining.

Not much different from regular movie. Just a few add on scenes. If you a collector not really worth the effort of buying

Watched this a long time ago, still enjoy it today.

I know this film has been kicked around, all the way back to Vhs since the early 80's. But, this is one of my favorites! I remember all the problems this film had when released back in 79 with some theaters banning it, due to the amount of gang violence, that occurred during the showing of the film. Now 30 years later, " The Warriors ", has been released to Blu-ray with outstanding results, due to its 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 encode. The video has been scrubbed with no evidence of dust, speckles or any type of artifacting during re-encode into hidef. The Warriors, mostly filmed at night shows no signs of speckles or crushing of blacks, with all characters staying in focus and colors displayed accurately. This truly is one amazing release considering its source is over 30 years old!. The soundtrack is presented in 5.1 digital dolby, which is kind of a let down, but maybe they figured the soundtrack wouldn't benefit from a lossless encode, due to the restraints of a mono soundtrack. Even so, the Warriors 5.1 audio is acceptable and sounds natural in the 5.1 enviroment. Extra's consist of what was presented on the 2005 release of the Ultimate Directors Cut in four parts... "The Beginning" (15 min.) chronicles the development through casting; "Battleground" (16 min.) covers the production and New York location shooting; "The Way Home" (18 min.) takes an in-depth look at the film's climax and its stylized violence and costumes; and "The Phenomenon" wraps it all up with some discussion of the film's legacy and parting thoughts from cast and crew. I highly recommend " The Warriors " on Blu-ray, I think you will agree that this remastered makes the film look like it was just shot this year..

THE WARRIORS VS BASEBALL FURIES…THE BEST GANG FIGHTING SCENE PERIOD!!! EVEN THE MUSIC WAS AWESOME!!!

This came out in 79, never caught it when it came out and just saw it re-released on Blu-Ray recently and figured I'll watch it. Very awesome movie and paved the way for some young actors back then. Action sequences could have been better but all in all a very good movie.

One of my favorite movies of all time, and for 10 bucks! The director's commentary gives a good insight into how the movie adaptation of the original book developed and changed while filming it. It's interesting to hear about the actor's experiences shooting on location in NY City, and about how chemistry between certain actors/actresses resulted in completely changing the script. Overall, great movie, great price.

I originally saw The Warriors on VHS over 15 years ago and loved it. While I thoroughly enjoyed the directors cut of this great film, I must admit I prefer the original theatrical version of this fin film. The one down side for me would be the addition of the comic book scenes between the chapters of this film. I only they had both the original version of this film along with the enhanced (at least that's what I;d call), version, giving viewer the option of which version to watch.

The Warriors is about a gang that gets framed for the murder of the guy who tries to unite all the gangs in New York City at a secret midnight gang rally. They came to the Bronx from Coney Island to this gang gathering and after the murder they spend an entire night trying not to be killed by rival gangs who believe they killed the leader and trying to get back to Coney Island. With the empty street scenes and creepy music this movie has a sort of scary feeling to it. I thought it was a good movie.

Wow. Blown away by the clear picture of this blu-ray. I was not expecting such a nice transfer. If they can make this movie look this good, there's no excuse for others looking so bad. " Come Out And Play "

It's kind of a goofy movie and has no real lesson but i remember watching this as a kid and brings back memories. It always comes up at my job, well actually the lines from the movie does. Rent first to see if you're gonna like it 1st.
