Very good movie about a kid gaining confidence and making his own place in his family.

About boy who spends summer with his mom and her boyfriend. Who becomes more confident and expressses his feelings.

This is a good film with a strong cast. It's well written and well acted with some genuinely funny moments. Though not particularly memorable it is entertaining and quite sentimental without any unnecessary sappiness. The setting feels very authentic and the characters mostly come across as believable. I do plan on rewatching it soon as overall the movie was quite enjoyable.

It's a phenomenal story, and Sam Rockwell, once again, leaves you wanting more.

It may be somewhat cliche in its general plot, but the acting and genuineness of the film really carry it through.
