I liked this film, and had seen it before purchasing it. It was a good story and engaging. It is something I would watch again!!

It's a decent film, but not a typical Hollywood horror film. It's charm is that it relies more on the actors pretending to be scared than a typical blood and guts shocker film.

Chilling, Haunting, Atmospheric, Enthralling, Engaging...I could go on and on. This movie had it all. DISCLAIMER: If you do not like slow burn films or movies that build character development over a period of the film rather than in your face in the first 5 minutes than you will hate this film!!! If you are like me and enjoy historical films and those about witchcraft during the early years of our country than you will absolutely love this movie! A must watch!

This film definitely holds up with multiple viewings, especially once you know what to expect outside of how it was marketed. It looks gorgeous on blu-ray, great addition to my collection

This is a nice little independent film. Warning: a superrrrr slow burn, but the ending and performances make it worth the while.

This film is too often mistakenly expected to be a horror movie when it's a gothic folk tale. Knowing what to expect makes a big difference when it comes to appreciating this movie.

Plausible film it was a slow burn but it was interesting and the fear people had on each other made the movie watchable and im not a fan of these type movie but i loved it regardless

This movie was beautifully written and shot. Robert Eggers is extremely talented and after this and the lighthouse he's made his style clear and I love it. The dialogue between the characters is fantastic and so accurate that I was fully immersed in this dark and haunting world. Anya Taylor Joy as well as the rest of the cast were all great.

If you're looking for jump scares or slashers stalking the night, The VVitch is probably not going to be your cup of tea. This is a very different kind of horror film, one built on a growing sense of unease. There's very little violence, but what there is errs on the disturbing side (particularly one near the beginning of the film). It's not for everybody, but it you don't mind slow and atmospheric, The VVitch might just get under your skin.

Slow burn chiller that will divide most viewers. I myself thought it was an effective horror film blending different types of horror elements together in an interesting environment.

I can't recommend the Witch enough. It's a atmospheric indie horror film distributed by A24, a studio known for their discerning taste and quality films. Don't go in with any expectations because this movie will subvert them all. Try it out. And hey, even if you don't like it, at least you'll have some creative ways to accuse someone of being a witch the next time they rub you the wrong way.

Movie was made to dark, half the time you couldn't tell what was happening. I really think if it had better lighting you could enjoy the movie.

Great Blu ray for the price. Would recommend it to anyone interested in horror.

The Witch came out of nowhere for me. Picked it up on blu-ray due to all the buzz and was incredibly entertained. A fresh horror/suspense that uses ambiance, mood and music to scare you and not just cheap jump scares like a lot of the “horror” movies today. I do want to say that there is some very thick 17th Century New England diction, which is a little difficult to understand at Low Volume. If you’re a fan of scary, don’t miss it.

I highly enjoyed this film, but it's not for everyone. Slow build and highly atmospheric. Not your typical horror fair. Fans of modern day horror films may not appreciate this.

My current favorite horror film. But even better because it's in full HD! An instant cult classic. Best horror film of 2016, possibly the past decade or more. It is a plot of subtlety, suspense, with a focus on the maddening world of religious zealotry. They used authentic old english spoken in 1600's New England. The story itself is a folk tale taken from various journals and literature of the time period. Great movie.

This was a interesting movie. It took me a minute to catch on to it and even watched it a second time to fully understand what was going on. In all, it was a great movie.
