Definitely a movie you have to watch. Scary and a little more scary due to the fact that people really believed this back then..

Saw this in Theaters and it is as good now as it was then!

Very beautifully shot and very grim. The movie is not very scary at all, but it's one of the better "horror" movies of 2016.

Very intense, definitely kept me on my toes. Folk tale inspired which movie, I highly recommend it to put it on your watch list.

"The Witch" takes journal entries and court records to create a story with a foundation made of a nice mix of fact and superstition, with just a sprinkle of imagination. Not scary, but a bit psychological, and REALLY intriguing when you sit back and think about the time it is set in. And how these fears were VERY real at these times.

Easily one of the best horror films in recent memory, next to It Follows. The Witch echoes shades of the original 70s The Wicker Man. It is a superbly shot slow burn of a movie, rooted in themes of 17th century Calvinism/Puritan beliefs. Perhaps too slow for some, but with a payoff that will have you discussing the picture and its themes.

A finely crafted suspense/horror film that will leave you unsettled with its disturbing depiction of colonial era witches.

Great atmosphere , very creepy. Not the typical horror movie , no gore or the typical current trends in the horror genre .

This is one of those movies you watch late friday night with the lights out only to realize you should turn them on.

Tense and Intense scenes . Held our attention throughout...good acting for non-known actors....watched it twice.
