Exceptionally intelligent. Atmospheric horror movie. The witch is a finely calibrated shiver of a movie.

I didn't really like this movie if I had seen this movie in the theater I probably wouldn't have bought the movie.

Not typical horror stuff. Let's you get an idea what the isolation of Colonial days must've been with witches.

Very different from most other movies out there, making this very enjoyable in a way not usually associated with movie critique. From the speech to the customs to way of life, everything was unique compared to how society is these days. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, and would recommend to friends and family.

A slow boil that is full of dark treasures..not for those with ADD--but if you love a slow burn this is for you.

Can a movie be satisfying as a historical document and a horror story? This one balances a hard look at the austere and rigid beliefs of the early settlers with a dash of terror that slowly takes over the soul and consciousness of the family. Is it real? Imagined? I'm the end you might end up believing.

If you like witch movies with Salem theme this is a good mystery movie. Although Not suitable for children.

This film came out during the early summer months, way ahead of the big movie, and it was not seen by a lot of movie goers. Well it's out now on Blu-ray and DVD, and please give this one a watch, you will be scared to death, and it has it all, suspense, possession, etc. Pick it up, you will not be disapointed..

I saw the movie in the theater but not enough to pay full price. Black friday price made it easy to buy.

I know that people's reviews of The Witch vary but I absolutely loved it. I was very thankful that a film like this was able to get a wide release when it was in theatres. Now that the bluray has come out, I still love it just as much as I did when I first saw it. Fantastic story, atmosphere, directing, etc.

If you like witch movies, this is for you... it is in a believable era...just prepare yourself to peel your ears, it is english but sometimes tough to understand, suspenseful and very unpredictable...it has a twist at the end but you kind of see it coming...add this to your collection if your a horror buff.

One of my favorite horror films that can have multiple interpretations. Acting and setting are spot on for colonial Massachusetts. Only problem I had was that the sound got extremely loud at random portions of the film.

Was curious to see it and was a little disappointed. But that's ok I got it for a good price at Best Buy.

Well made, modern horror with excellent transfer to the disk.

The movie was amazing!! I loved every second. It was beautifully made. Acting was on par. I loved it! Too bad most other people didn't like it. The rotten tomatoes said the critics loved it but the audience hated it. It's well worth the watch if your into folklore or witches in general! Beautiful story!
