The purchase of the following movie was needed. It's a classic. I would definitely recommend it for any movie buff. A must buy for any flick collector. Family friendly!

Horror at its best. Creepy and full of scares around every corner

The setting, costumes, speech, and story, all gave the impression you were in the early 17th century. The most realistic movie about witchcraft I've ever seen

If you love atmosphere and dread in horror movies, you will love The Witch. I know some found the movie to be slow, but I personally loved every minute of it. Highly recommended.

Great, slow-burn horror, but you might need subtitles, since they speak in an old English dialect that's pretty hard to understand until you get used to it. Highly recommended.

Best of the year of one of the best of this millennium. Really well crafted, creepy as it can be and plays as a period drama as well. And that goat is a superstar! Loved it!

I'm not a horror film viewer. This was less of a horror film and more a story of a family's deterioration with unsettling tension and imagery. It's actually a good watch.

This film certainly isn’t for everyone and most will be turned off by its style and lack of answers but I felt unsettled and lingered in my brain for days.

This movie was just average and nothing really special, I believe the previews are the highlights of the movie. I would give it 2.5 stars, but I guess my fingers are too big to make the half star.

This movie is a little bit odd but in a good way. It is very interesting how the characters are the main focus instead of just trying to do jump scares.

it's based on a folk tale and isn't full of blood and gore. It's more psychological and plays on fears and superstitions of the period it takes place in.

Not sure why so many critics gave this low ratings. Liked the film and how isolation in hopes of protection can can the reverse effect. A psychological film for sure.

I thought this movie was great. It was really creepy with great acting and a perfect setting. I will be adding this movie to the pile of movies I watch in October.

The movie is dark and strange a little hard to understand what the actor is saying or talking about at times but after the 2nd viewing was spot on.
