This is a great classic and makes it better in 3D , hoping to watch it in PlayStation vr , hope it's stereoscopic and not just cinematic mode with the VR headset. That would be the ultimate viewing experience. Actually a 4K 3D version which would eventually come out years from now when 4K 3D is finalized would be great, and we know by then there would be a ps5 with 4K 3D stereoscopic support and a 4K Vr headset to match. Im sure there will be a new wizard of oz 3D vr only movie where you can walk and pan around the movie yourself and explore parts of the filmed areas or check hidden areas happening somewhere else in the movie. Still this is the best upgrade to date .

This is a beautiful steelbook. The movie is great, as always, and even better on 4K.

3D version came from new 4K master, 2d is from the old original blu-Ray release. Image is amazing and looks like a pop-up storybook.

Wizard of Oz is a classic, no doubt about it. Why upgrade to the Blu-ray 3D edition? A) The transfer is as clear as you can get. Bright and vivid. You'll see things you never saw before which is a real treat for such a detail-rich visual extravaganza. B) The 3D adds another layer of visual interest to the film and lends a new viewing experience to a decades old film. C) The metal case (which Best Buy offers up) is pretty nifty too! Overall, did Wizard of Oz need a 3D treatment to keep it relevant? No. But is it pretty awesome anyway? Heck yeah! And for those without 3D TV's, the standard Blu-ray 2D version is also included, so it's a win-win! Highly recommend!

This is one of those movies that stands up to the test of time after all the years. I have 5 kids and we still enjoy sitting down and watching this classic. Nice to have it on blu-ray.

I have watched WOZ a thousand times, but never like this! Blu Ray makes you feel like you are in Oz! This is the only way the movie should ever be viewed!!!!

Memories...Gathering around the TV to watch this with my family! Singing along to all of the songs and which of us could speak in the best munchkin voice. Who hasn't tried to repeat , "I'll get you my pretty!" or certainly, we all know, "There's no place like home!" One of the most innovative, classic movies of all time for eons to come. A must have for all collections, young and old...click your heels together and purchase it for your collection before they all get carried away by the winged monkeys!

There is no better way to introduce the new generation to this classic beautiful gem then this 75th Anniversary Special Edition Blu-Ray of THE WIZARD OF OZ! Gorgeous, vibrant colors after the twister light up the screen in a solid gorgeous 1080p transfer by MGM. Even the black and white scenes are beautiful as contrast and shadows show up with sharp high-definition. The sound is wonderful too. With Dolby Digital HD, you hear every little bird tweet throughout the forest and many other sounds on the journey to Oz. Massively Recommended! Best Buy is the place to go to find this must-have at a terrific price!

This movie meet all expectation odd a blue ray movie, of course it's been a classic since I was little. Dedicate a great price too. Definitely a show to be added to any DVD library.

This is the 75th anniversary edition of the Wizard of Oz in Blu-ray. It is crystal clear, and has beautiful color. How nice to own it, and not have to wait until it appears on cable!

Boy! Watching this movie surely took me back to my childhood. But watching it this time in 3D Blu-ray makes it all that more enjoyable. It's incredibly how they can take a movie made in 1935 and change it to today's technology to make it seem like it was just recently made. Great job. I think it will also catch the interest of todays children.

I try to collect all my movies in Steel Book, because I think it will hold up over time. Must have copy for any fan of The Wizard of Oz. One of the best classic movies of all time. Hard to believe that it didn't win best picture of the year when it came out in 1939, but it was Gone with the wind that won that year. I personally would rather see Wizard of Oz and have seen it multiple times. I can't say that for Gone with the wind.

Watching The Wizard of Oz on Bluray with the upgraded picture and sound quality was like watching a new movie. Got this for the wife but I ended up liking it just as much.

I have loved this movie since I was a kid and now my granddaughter loves the movie. Had to have a copy at home.

Awesome Color once Dorothy enters the Emerald City. It's amazing how much the colors pop with the anniversary edition in Blu-Ray.

Another flawless classic that withstands the test of time. Most people have forgotten that the movie starts off in black and white, then turns to color when Dorothy reaches Oz. This is the way it was shown originally in 1939, and that's the way this import version presents. The only minor distraction is the default foreign subtitle. But that's what the DVD remote is for. Click the "subtitle" button a couple of times, and the subtitle is completely gone. Heck, what could be easier. The best thing about this import is it's a lot cheaper than the domestic version. Same quality picture, and sound.

I remember watching this movie when they would air it once a year on CBS a few years back. Now it is shown on a couple of different networks quite frequently. This is a wonderful film for the whole family. Who wouldn't want to take a journey to the magical land of Oz? I think that it is terrific how well this movie has held up over the years. It's going on sixty-two years since it was first released and yet, it is timeless. It is great to look back on a film that was made in the thirties, and compare it to the movies made in this day and age. This is a film that will just be something that stays around forever.

If you have seen the last Blu-ray version of this movie, you have NOT seen the BEST version of this movie. This 75th Anniversary 3D Edition was put together frame by frame and looks 100% better then the last Blu-ray version. If you look at them side-by-side, the colors now "pop" in comparison and this version now looks like it could have been filmed in Hollywood recently. I would HIGHLY recommend this version for any die-hard, or casual fan of this fantastic classic movie.

I remember being wowed by the Blu Ray release a few years back. Although this 4K Blu ray doesn't have the immediate "wow" factor that the upgrade from DVD to Blu Ray had, it is still looks tremendous in 4K. The extras are thinned out compared to some prior releases, so collectors may want to hold on to some of the older Blu-Ray releases. If you are expecting a revolutionary jump in quality, it does have that...it is a refinement of an already excellent picture and sound quality.
