Purchased new home and although the appliances were new, they were standard builder quality - thin metal, small uneven grates, poor burner coverage. Replaced with Thermador 6-burner gas range. Cabinet was easily removed to convert from 30" cook top in a 36" cabinet to a 36" free-standing range. Granite was removed and cut /polished for $300. Gas and electric were easily moved to accommodate specs for Thermador Range. I'm mentioning this to say that it is not difficult to convert your kitchen to accommodate this range - and it is worth it. The BustBuy team that installed the range were very courteous, extremely efficient and very careful not to damage the home nor the appliance with such a heavy piece of equipment. The install was flawless. The product is amazing. Very uniform heating on the stove as well as within the oven. My wife and kids who love to bake have abandoned the builder's wall mounted electric oven that they claimed originally was going to remain their goto appliance due to familiarity over the years. Love the heating power of the stove. Very stable grates, high BTU's when you need it and tons of low-end thermal control with the simmer and timed-simmer restart option (that's probably called something else in the literature) - but it's cool and it works great. I've looked at professional ranges for years and finally had the opportunity to own one and honestly, I will never go back to standard appliances. There is really no comparison.

Love how big the burners flames are they heat the big pans up evenly. The oven is amazing, heats up fast

I spent years looking through reviews and testing different ranges. It came down to a Wolf or Thermador. I am very happy with the decision to go with the Thermador. The heat produced be each burner is very even. I love the ultra low simmer functionality as we often entertain and want to keep something warm without risking burning it to the bottom of the pan or scalding a delicate sauce.

I couldn't be more disappointed with this range! Here's a list of disadvantages: *less deep than our cheap oven from Sears - doesn't fit my cookie sheets the long way * takes FOREVER to preheat * tons of noise from the oven fan, even 20 mins after turning the oven off, beeps when you open the oven (why??) yet it made no noise when the oven wasn't closed completely for a few minutes because I didn't have one of the racks in correctly. * extra crevices around burner area makes it hard to clean * clock is really hard to see, timer inefficient to use and very, very quiet * the "low" still keeps food at a rolling boil, and XLO is only so-so (but makes a really loud noise when it relights) * very difficult to tell the difference between medium, medium high, medium low on the burners - the flame basically doesn't move for a while, then has a few millimeters where it's very touchy * design flaw means it can't touch the wall so there's a 2-inch abyss behind the appliance (which caused our well-measured drawer to hit the knobs) There's more, but this is taking too much of my time - kind of like a lot of the settings/timer on the Thermador. Inefficient and annoying, especially for the cost! A tech told us it's nearly impossible to recalibrate as well, which will need to be done when one of the many circuit boards has a problem...
