Since it's an older USB it doesn't speed through, so be prepared to go do something else if you're copying over large amounts of data. Also have a big issue with the unit and hard drive overheating, and shutting down the drive, resulting in corrupt data ...

USB cable is a bit short, but power cable is long enough to make up for it. I guess the idea is to keep it closer to the computer. I have Windows 7 Pro x64 and the device installed within seconds. Docking and undocking hard drives is very simple. Really, it works as advertised. This dock really fits my external needs.
