Customers are saying

Customers love the Riing 12 LED 120mm Radiator Cooling Fan for its quiet operation and effective cooling capabilities. Many appreciate the ease of installation and the fan's performance, considering it a great value for the price. While some wish for RGB lighting options, the existing LED lighting is generally well-received. The positive feedback on cooling, noise levels, and ease of use strongly outweighs the limited criticism.

My old radiator fans were, decidedly, failing. They kept getting louder and louder, so I finally decided to replace them. I ended up at my local Best Buy, and got two of these fans. When I picked them up off the shelf, I immediately knew there would be a difference, as these fans were heavier, more sturdy construction. I got them home, popped open the computer case, and the installation took minutes before I was back in action. Now, I spend a lot of time at my computer, but often have the television playing. I have always had to adjust my TV volume when using the computer. Even before my old fans started to decline, I didn't realize just how loud they actually were. Then I got the Thermaltake fans. They are so quiet! I no longer have to adjust the volume of the TV when I am using the computer. I would really recommend these to anyone wanting, or needing, to replace their original fans.

    Silent, but deadly.

I subscribe to the same school of thought with my computers as many Victorian aristocrats did regarding children; They should be seen, but not heard. The Riing is a high static-pressure fan with a very nicely balanced motor and blades, rubber isolators at each corner on each side, and according to Thermaltake, a special blade design that's supposed to reduce vibration without adversely affecting airflow. I'm not sure about the blade design, it looks pretty bog-standard, but I'm definitely a fan of the motor design and the shock mounting on the corners. The acrylic band around the center of the unit creates a super cool 1980's cyberpunk look that is distinctive, but only a little bit obnoxious, unlike the fully acrylic fans that have LEDs set right into the corners and the whole thing glows blue. The only regret I have is that I'm out of places to stick more of these cool-looking fans. The ones I have right now do a more than adequate job of ventilating my case, but they do look pretty slick. Pros - -Excellent aesthetic -Very good noise control -Multiple 12v options -Pretty decent cost -Sheathed cables look very clean, slightly tacky for good cable management -Not visible from space; lights not bright enough to give me skin cancer if I sit on the left side of my computer too long. Cons - -No PWM. Voltage control necessary for manual speed control. When active, unfortunately this reduces light intensity at lower speeds. This makes me sad. Side effect is that it makes the computer look like it's breathing, if you set a bad fan speed hysteresis, which is slightly amusing at least. PC build - Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H-BK Intel i7-4790K -cooled by Corsair H100i cooler, fans replaced with Thermaltake Riing because they look better and work quieter Intel 535 SSD@240gb 2x WD 5400 mechanical @ 1tb EVGA GTX-970 SSC 16gb RAM @ 1866mHz Fractal R4 Define windowed case

If you want a cheap fan that can give you some color to your PC, this will do the job. These fans has not failed me yet since the time of purchase. The light is still going strong and the fans are pretty quiet.

    Great Cooling Fan

I purchased and installed this fan yesterday. Everything in my computer is running cooler and this fan is very quiet for all the air it moves. On average everything including Hard Drives dropped at least 2*. I would recommend to a friend. I am thinking about buying a second and replacing the much cheaper made fan in the rear of my computer.

I am really satisfied with the Radiator cooling fan I purchased from Best Buy. It is quiet yet powerful and does the job of cooling my computer as indicated in the description. I really like the fact that it lights up, it adds alot to the design and all around looks of my computer My friends ask me questions about the fan and where I bought it.

My grandson had an over heat situation while running 2 intensive programs at the same time. We installed a CPU water cooler and this case fan and the problem is solved. The computer now runs cool and efficiently. The LED effect is a nice bonus.

The blue is very pronounced and bluey(?). The fan is quiet and looks just incredible. The added noise reduction cable is a very nice touch. And the rubber pads built into the fans ensures they're never the cause of rattling.

I reviewed the 3-set Thermaltake fans with nothing but great things to say, and I pass on the same great things to say to this one. The blue ring illumination is so beautiful in a case that you just won't be able to help but ogle at your PC; it looks very stylish, expressive, and sleek. The cooling performance is great, as there is very little noise and resistance, and the speeds go up to 1500 RPM. The rubber spacers on the edges also allow secure and cushioned mounting which further eliminate vibrations. For $15 a fan, I have to say this is a great upgrade to many others.

    Just What I needed

I have a Thermaltake H23 case. I was running 2 Antec fans in front, and I determined that they were (by far) the loudest of the 5 120 MM fans I had. sounded like a small jet was taking off, when spinning at full speed. I bought a pair of these, installed them (BTW, Thermaltake includes 2 small extension cables-- thru some kind of black magic, the cables reduce noise considerably, and you Want to use them). Result? Just what's advertised, a much quieter set of fans. If you want silence, this is just the make and model you want!!

Quiet except I put 4 on the top of a V21 case as exhaust fans. They are well behaved together with no extra vibration. The extra sound is the air not the fans. So far I've bought 8 of these and am happy.
