Sadly this would be the third or fourth 700 watt thermaltake I've gotten from different vendors even that was DOA or missing cable somehow that were vital to powering the system. I'm not sure if thermaltake is having quality control issues or if it's just a bad batch but I haven't seen any issues since

Hit or miss with this one. I got one and got it all built into my PC and it was a dud. Went back and exchanged it and the new one works great. So great product but hit or miss if it’s going to work or not

And I am now waiting for a RMA from the manufacturer do not purchase

      Hello,

This unit can run most lower to mid-tier graphics cards. Certain higher-end graphics cards will require a better power supply.

Not for GPUs that require two 8-pin connectors

Bought this about a month ago while upgrading my graphics card and have had nothing but problems. The two 8-pin connectors are just a single connector with a jumper and not able to supply enough power to my 2080ti FE card. Also, the clips that hold the connectors to my card did not hold the pins in place. The connection would give out under stress due to not being able to seat properly. Will be returning tomorrow for a Corsair PSU.

I use this as a tester/workbench device because all the power cables are connected so can't misplace them or confuse them with non-Thermaltake cables. Only complaint I have is that when you shutoff power then turn it back on using the self-test shunt (goes over the MB power so the PSU will turn-on without a MB) the PSU won't come up. You have to remove the shunt and place it back on for it to work again.

All my life that I have had to buy power supply I always bought EVGA. I went to Best Buy that day and they only had Corsair and this one. As far as the EVGA warranty came to me, I bought this one. Well, I left it installed because I had the other spare. The one from EVGA lasted me almost 3 years. Giving it a use of 24 hours and 7 days a week on. But this one that I bought here only lasted 1 month 2 and a half weeks. And it got damaged and my computer only needs 495w of requirement. I put a higher one for when I change the GPU. This means that it was not using its maximum capacity so it might cause it. And anyway they are designed for that but this was not that case. Here the detail is that it only lasted 2 months rounded and damaged. I have voltage protection also not connected to direct wall outlet. I just can't believe it, the computer turned itself off while it was on and when it turns on it doesn't do anything. I put the EVGA and everything is fine. I will not buy this brand again.I don't recommend it to anyone. I warn you what happened to me in my case.

Power supply seems to work fine. There was a little bit of a coil whine, but it comes and goes maybe 1 out of 10 times. Actually I can't even confirm if the coil whine is from this power supply.

The power supply at 700w would make it good for a fairly powerful system, however this only has one dedicated 8 pin pcie cable. It says it has two, but it is just a splitter, so it is not advisable for gpus that need 2x8 pcie cables.

      Hello,

The pig tail is the same power delivery as two dedicated cables, which isn't needed unless it is explicitly asked for by the hardware. Otherwise there is no difference.
