The difference between the paste applied to AIO and thermal grease sold after is composition. What comes in a tube like this is more thermally conductive and more efficient.

Poor Long Term Performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this when I had to move my FX-9590 and Corsair H100i V2 to a new motherboard. 2 months later, the peak temeratures had crept up about 10C, resulting in breaching the 70C threshold and sudden shutdowns. I did not have these issues with Arctic Silver or Cooler Master pastes before. I've reapplied with the MasterGel that came with the Hyper 212. We'll see if this holds up better over the next two months.
