Went wireless after using a wired digital thermometer for years and love the convenience following the change. Can hook up to phone -- but temp also gets sent/displayed to core unit.

My Yummly broke after a few years and a new one wasn't available so I tried this one. It has two spikes seemed like a winner. The app is clumsy and irritating. I want it to burn. Apple should make Thermometer! It be over priced for sure but elegant no doubt. Untapped market...anything with wifi that can interact nicely with my phone. :)

I love this item as it is link in my phone and has an alarm when temperature is reach

Theres a reason why best buy doesnt offer a 2 year protection on this product and why the company that makes it only has a year warranty. Right after a year of use and the sticks dont hold a charge anymore. I gave two stars just because when they worked it worked great.

Worked well till it stopped. after 3 months it stoped working ……. Took it back.

Only used once but worked well. I like the charging in the case.

I was using Yummly's thermometer for the past few years and it was pretty decent. But, Yummly stop supporting it late last year. So, I was in the marker for a new one. Shopped around and decided to go with this one. It gets the job done and the app is better decent

It does work well when it actually works and stays connected

First time using the wireless temp probes. For the most part, they worked and worked fast. One thing, I found the ambient temp took time to get up to the actual temp…May need to just read if this is normal

I like this set because the charging case displays the temperature. Other similar thermometers require an app to show the temp. Very versatile.

Only a few uses in and it far surpasses my older probes for ease of use and features. I have not used both probes simultaneously yet. I was too excited to make a couple of my go to items, a tomahawk steak and a whole chicken. Two items I always want a monitoring device for. And it was as easy as could be to insert the probe. Choose the meat and doneness level (chicken does not have heat levels like beef, 165 degrees minimum). Toss on the grill, or in oven. And sit back and monitor your food from your favorite seating area of choice. The probe monitors the ambient temp of the oven or grill. The internal temp of the protein being cooked. And it even estimates when the food might be done, although this fluctuates a bit on the grill with indirect cooking. I did double check the grill from time to time as I have had false readings from other devices and resulted in overcooked meals. And anytime you use a new grill thermometer, or even just grilling, always best to check in on it. Anyways, the steak was perfectly done to medium rare. And the chicken came out perfectly tender, juicy and perfectly cooked to my preferences. Never had any dropped connections, alarm is distinct and easy to mute. And the probes cleaned up easy as silverware. If you grill for a family or just yourself. It's a very easy recommendation to get the Twin Tempspike. Meat is expensive and the Tempspike just about insures you don't ruin a meal by overcooking. Key things to note as to why you want this model: Ambient temps around the food and not just internal temps like many others. Super easy to read backlit temps on base unit. Very long range. Leave base next to grill or oven, keep phone with you... go mingle. Easy to understand app that does not require access to everything on your phone! Two temp spikes so you don't ruin picky eaters meat if you get side tracked. Its orange and easy to find. Its magnetic, it can stay near the grill so you don't have to. Its rechargeable. Only negatives so far, The cover on base unit has no way to stay attached to the base unit. You may want to leave it in the box with the other sort of negative observation. The little scrub brush also may get lost over time. But both of those are nit pickings. Its a great product so far.
