Chris Hemsworth is SO gorgeous and makes an excellent Thor, but what is absolutely incredible is Tom Hiddleston. He looks exactly like Loki from the comics. The makeup is amazing. I like that this series is more light, less somber than most of the Marvel movies up to this point.

Thor is a great addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In Norse Mythology, Thor is the god of thunder, but in the Marvel Universe he is no myth. Wielding his hammer Mjolnir we can command thunder and lightning and is a fine warrior, but arrogance leads to the removal of his powers and his casting to Earth where he must adapt to this new society while a threat grows in the background. Thor is an exciting action film and a great inclusion to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A must own for any superhero or action fan.

This steelbook happened to be on sale for $8. How can anyone beat that price? Sure, this 4k version is also available on Disney+, but I wanted this for the steelbook (as well as a physical copy). It's a great movie, very fun, the 4k looks great, and the steelbook is terrific. For the price it's a steal and would be worth getting even if you just wanted the movie alone. Highly recommend.

It wasn't a bad movie it was OK I wanted some more action but I understand it's the beginning of this storyline I still purchased it because it had to be in my collection the movies get better each time I see them .

Brilliant moments and performances with Thor Loki and Odin. Despite being based on Norse mythology, most of the film takes place on Earth. Which puts the characters in a fish out of water situation. It makes things funny but down to earth. Although the Earth and the Earthlings themselves are unremarkable. Best presentation possible for a special effects heavy movie. Recommended.

Any time is a good time for a marvel movie and nobody does it better than Marvel Studios. Bought this as part of a Christmas gif for my brother, but I've watched this nearly a dozen times. You'll never get tired of it. An excellent way to close in on the end of phase one of the MCU. A good foundation for the character. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

There Are Some Great Moments & Elements To This Film That Go Under Appreciated. Hemsworth Takes Charge & Makes You Believe The God Of Thunder Exists, While Hiddleston’s Loki Manipulates With Such Charm & Conviction In Every Scene. Everything On Asgard From Mythology To Character Are Handled Wonderfully. The Family Dynamic Between Father & Sons Is Shakespeare & Classically Handled. The Elements On Earth Are Not My Favorite, Which Stops This From Being A Great Film For Me. But Overall It Is Worth A Watch, Especially If You’re A Marvel Fan!

I love the way this film sets up Thor's storyline. Well acted. I wish the packaging hadn't changed from the initial release. I would have gotten that one, but not sure it would have had current digital codes. I actually waited a long time to buy this movie because I always wanted to get the Marvel set, but I caved because I love it so much. Plus, the sets don't have the digital downloads far as I can tell.

The second Thor movie is a great adventure that is fun to watch, but is slightly more solemn than it's comedy filled successor. All around the movie looks great in 4K (or rather a 2K upscale). The sound field is great and for those wanting to try out Dolby Vision (if you have the right equipment) there is a Movies Anywhere code included in the steelbook.

I own the original disc of this movie, but now that I have gone 4K and Dolby Atmos in my home theater I really wanted the 4K version. Best Buy had this Steelbook 4K on sale for $15.00...great price. The 4K disc is much better than the original in picture quality and Dolby Atmos. Plenty of action and special effects to give your system a workout.

Saw this movie at the theatre and was eager for it to be released for home viewing and for my personal video library. The story line is great and the special effects are spectacular. I am very much a lover of graphic novels made into movies and this one does not disappoint. I like the tie-in to the tv series, "Marvels Agents of Shield." I would recommend this movie to anyone who appreciates the Avengers' Super Heroes. I would recommend this to a friend!

Great effects, looks great on a 65" 4K HDR TV and sounds great in surround sound. Has the code to add it to your online library and watch online. Nice art on the steel case. I don't review a movies performance as you would not know what I like or not in a movie and I have no history of movie reviews. So that seems pointless.

This movie has always been one of the more ugly MCU movies on home video. The overuse of DNR is abysmal. The only reason I'm giving this 3 stars is the great looking steelbook

If you like or ever have liked 'Marvel', or 'DC', or anything relating to superheroes currently or as a youth - You should very well like this Thor movie. (Unless You are one of those "nit-picky" comi-con people that drives people crazy with your narrow-minded unwilling to think past the end of your nose on your face). The casting was "Mostly" well done; especially Thor, Thor's father, and the Portal Keeper (liked him the best). Just a few of the cast people chosen, I think, could have been better. However, the movie itself is well done, holds your attention, and it's fun.

More Steelbook Collection! Only missing a few at this point, so keep it coming Best Buy. When you have a new 4K tv and DVD Player, you need your favorite movies in 4K, so I am on a mission to get all the Marvel movies in 4K. Anytime they go on sale, I jump on them. Excellent movie, in its own right, but even better in 4K.

Having purchased all the Marvel steelbooks during their first release, I was pleased to purchase Thor 4K as it never received a steelbook release in the USA. I got this on a deal of the day, and now wonder if I'm going to replace my other steels with the 4K versions! Oh Best Buy you got me again! Haha, highly recommended.

I was able to get this during the buy 2 get 1 free sale while at the same time they were at a reduced price. The price for the 4k upgrade was too good to pass up. Whether or not it is worth the upgrade depends on your TV setup. The artwork on the steelbook is good and the issue of noting including the title on the side has been fixed. Now if they could just find a way to keep cardboard sleeve over the case to stay down. An early Marvel movie that shows just how far the company has come.

This Thor started out a tiny bit slow, but it was very enjoyable for the most part. Natalie Portman is a beautiful talented actress and Chris Hemsworth did superb as Thor! But the sequel was a little better and Thor Ragnarok was a five star movie with the Hulk in it! It was the best Thor movie ever! But four stars is not a bad rating for a job well done, I still remember the Hulk kicking Loki's butt in the first Avengers movie. That was really funny.

One of the best 4K action movie releases to date are released. This is a wonderful movie to add to your movie collection or 4K disc collection. Packed with great audio and visuals for your home theater! Wonderful visuals and surround sound! A highly recommended title great for the whole family. Absolutely stunning

I actually saw this movie in theaters when it came out. I was interested when I heard Kenneth Branaugh was the director. It's a little bit different than his usual period pieces. Still, the acting was top notch! Anthony Hopkins is always great and is believable as Odin. Tom Hiddleston, Ray Stevenson, Idris Elba, even Natalie Portman was decent as Jane. Of course, Chris Hemsworth steals the show and clearly was having fun with his role. I'm glad to finally have gotten a chance to add this blu ray to my collection and look forward to watching this again!
