Great part of the Avenger series; very powerful movie.

Thor 2 is a fantastic sequel that lives up to (and possible surpasses) the first film. This movie picks up right after the events of Avengers and flawlessly continues to move the Marvel Universe forward, while at the same time, it is a film that a person new to the Marvel Universe can sit down and watch and really enjoy. The original cast (with the exception of one character) return from the first movie and all of them do excellent. Loki once again steals the show and the chemistry between Thor and Loki is phenomenal. The only negatives are the villain of the film doesn't show to much character and feels a bit boring, plus there is a action scene that involves spaceships. Although the spaceship scene is cool, it feels more of a Star Wars scene than a Thor scene. Overall, it's a great movie that I highly recommend. People familiar with the Marvel Universe will appreciate the continuity and those unfamiliar can enjoy this movie without being completely lost with what is going on. Stay till after the credits for an after credit scene that shows a glimpse of The Collector, who will appear in the next Marvel film, Guardians of the Galaxy.
