Thor: The Dark World is far superior to the first film in every way. It follows the events of Avengers and is probably happening shortly after Iron Man 3. The reason this movie works is while there are references to Avengers, the movie doesn't rely on that film to carry its story. Instead, it fleshes out its own narrative, which features a new artifact that will become a larger part of the expanding Marvel Universe. There is more to see from Asgard this time around, along with some of the other realms. The only real problem with the film is the disregard for character development for the secondary characters, such as Sif and the Warriors Three. That shouldn't deter you, however, as there's still a lot of heart and comedy and Loki completely manages to steal the show again. And with all Marvel features, this Blu-ray includes a Marvel One-Shot, which is enjoyable, and a great addition to the Marvel mythos!

it's an okay movie definitely required to get the backstory on the infinity stone.

So many are consistently knocking Warner Bros & DC comics for not making Movies of the same caliber as Marvel. DC is looking towards the future and continuing to support and develop their characters through the comic books. The new 52 and all the writers and artists at DC (especially the ones hired away from Marvel, ergo, John Romita Jr) have a long term vision and within 5 years will surpass anything Marvel puts on the screen. It is such a shame to see how great Marvel is right now at the box office, yet realize they have no vision and will soon be lagging far behind DC, Image, Boom (George Perez!!!) and Dark Horse. Enjoy the Marvel Movies while they last... I am and CANNOT wait for the best Super Hero Movie of all time GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY!!!! Marvel you have had a great run and will so for another 5 yrs... however, you have forgotten your first love (comic books) and the stories are drying up....

The first two Thor movies are probably my least favorites of the MCU but as a collector of Marvel steelbooks they are a great addition to the set. I think once they release Ant-Man, GOTG Vol. 1, and Dr. Strange in 4K I may have to try for a 22/23(depending on if Far From Home is released or not) movie marathon.

Great movie....liked better than first mostly because Loki had more screen time. Chris Helmsworth is great in title role, but Tom Hiddlestons tortured sensitive, yet scheming and cold Loki is my fav villain since the great Alan Rickman. He steals every scene. Great job by all the cast, great story and effects. Awesome chemistry between Loki and Thor..excellent casting choices. Hope to see Loki many more times....you just cant take your eyes off him when he is on screen, This role for him will go down as a classic...he captures the catlike strut, yet vulnerability of one who deep down just wanted equal time to Thors. Chris and his intense interactions are some of the best cinema has seen.

Great series, great tie ins to the bigger picture.

It is action packed and a thriller! The price was also better than Amazon.
