Bought it for the steel book cover and the transfer to 4K.

Complete your Marvel collection! Good movie for Marvel fans.

I'll admit, this is my least favorite of the MCU films, but that doesn't mean it's bad. The worst MCU movie is still a better than average film! I also appreciate this one more in retrospect than I did when it first came out. I recommend this 4K steelbook to any MCU fan.

Keep them coming all the old classics becoming 4K titles.

A nice 4k uhd upgrade from blu- ray and a ok steel book

Stunning audio and picture quality. Looks great in 4K!

I purchased this movie for the reasons that it came in a steelcase, and was on blu-ray. I am extremely happy with the quality of the packaging. The picture quality is excellent, as expected with a blu-ray release. My only complaints are that the company skimped on including a DVD version of the movie, instead bundling a 3D blu-ray with a standard blu-ray. On the plus side, if I owned a 3D blu-ray player and 3D capable TV, this package would represent a significant cost savings over most regularly priced 3D blu-rays. Additionally, I thought the special features were a bit lacking, but the One-Shot short was highly entertaining as well. All in all, I am extremely happy to have this steelcase bluray in my collection, and look forward to future steelcased blu-ray releases.

If your a fan of superhero movies and have been keeping up with the marvel movies this is a must own.In this follow up to the original Thor movie this film takes place after the events of Avengers Thor has returned home to Asgard and Loki is now serving time in a Asgardian prison.A ancient forgotten enemy of Asgard has returned seeking a extremely powerful weapon which leads to events that make Thor and his brother put aside their differences to take on a common foe.As far as movie sequels go this film delivers and builds up correctly for future films and of course ties in with the overall connecting story arc being implemented in the marvel film universe.Hopefully from now on we will see these films getting American steelbook packaging releases on a regular basis.

Good movie, weak surround sound, typical disney fare

The Mighty Thor once again takes to the skies and conquers evil in Thor: The Dark World. Originally shown in 3D, the 3D disc in this set replicates the experience fairly well, despite some muddiness in darker scenes. The 2D disc holds the extras, including a new Marvel One-Shot short film and other intriguing companion pieces. Interestingly, the limited-edition Steelbook collector's case can hold three discs, but the set does not come with a DVD of the movie, so this may break the deal for some who hoped for a well-rounded retail package. Don't let that stop you from getting this, though--it's action-packed from start to finish, and the ending holds the promise of something much greater for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
